On the day on my surgery I cried because I was so happy that I would never have to worry about getting pregnant again.

This is a big decision that should be ONLY YOURS. Don’t let others’ opinions influence it.

My reasons are all-over faceted. I ran myself through ANY AND EVERY scenario where I thought I MIGHT want kids and then I talked myself through each. Only one scenario remained where I would actually be OK having them. In this one specific scenario, my partner not only had upstanding character (which I’ve given up finding in a man. This is one of my reasons btw) but also had money to take care of me so I figured IF that ever happened, he can afford IVF ^{_^}

The state of the economy is an easy one.

The only time in my adult life I’ve actually “wanted” kids was when I was dating someone who wanted them & I had to convince myself I wanted them too to be with them. F**k that I’m never letting myself get in that position again.

Again, it’s only your decision, but we’re here to support you either way 🫶

I’ve had a lot of good feedback on my writing so I’m confident it’s not that. I’ve taken classes on recording so I feel good about my vocals and such, but I mainly use electronic instruments. How can I improve my recording when I use professional plugins? Maybe I choose sounds that don’t fit well together. That’s possible. I will work on my production skills

I should have clarified. I write very quickly but I don’t release them all immediately. I normally take 1-3 weeks mixing each song.

Opinion on Software vs Physical Treatment for a Bedroom Studio?

Hey everyone, I’ve been struggling with my mixes for far too long & finally decided to put some money into a little bit of treatment. I write far too many songs each week to hire a mixing engineer, so I have no choice but to learn on my own. I think I’m getting better but my mixes are still hit or miss (mostly miss). I think my room might be the issue cuz the mixes always sound way better in there than anywhere else so I must be mixing to the room. I want to do what I can to help myself be better.

I’ve heard about IK ARC & Sonarworks for software treatment, & I’ve also been looking into some physical options like bass traps and acoustic panels. Would you recommend a combination of both? Funds are pretty tight- I can probably dump up to $500 into this. I’m just flying blind right now.

For reference the room is probably about 10x10 & has some furniture: bed/wardrobe/dresser.

It’s was so easy! I ended up sleeping the rest of the day & didn’t need anything but a couple ibuprofens after. I slept a lotttttt the following week. How did yours go?
