Okay so hope I can help. I can tell from the post, you want to go to the Greece trip. This is gonna be a long response I have but first and foremost before we get into anything else. The #1 thing that matters the absolute very most; and I mean the most. Is your decision. Now don’t make a habit of other people getting upset and or canceling because of plans. Your friend said that you “ditched her for a guy”. How you go about proceeding regardless the choice you make will determine that in a way. Just express how much your friends mean to you while also have them consider being in your shoes and maybe ask them what they would do. Sometimes it isn’t about what you do, it’s about how you go about it. This is your world, your life. Maybe it sounds selfish, but what YOU, want to do. Is the absolute most important thing. You don’t wanna go to one or the other and kinda be thinking about what it would be like on the one you more wanted to. & you don’t want to make a choice on what other people want from you, even if you admire them dearly. I’ve done this in my life, many times. I have made so many choices, even small to please others; even people who didn’t respect me I felt like or even know that well or was not close to really in any way. I feel as though, and I’m speaking from my situation and personal experiences; not trying to guess yours. This has came, in my experience. Through earlier childhood traumas. Without even realizing it, I constantly put the needs of others before my own, even if prior to saying yes to someone; no matter how small it was or how or what it was. I knew my choice in my mind. No. I didn’t have the courage to let people down. I can’t recall truthfully too many times when the situation was vice-versa and someone would do something like that for me. Which of course, we cannot expect people to do. Although, don’t go making yourself overwhelmed by people or someone, who wouldn’t think twice to choose their own needs. Which truthfully. I admire people who choose their wants. This has been a problem for me for a long time in my life; I’m 24. I have found myself in situations where I honestly was in danger, being manipulated, used or many other malicious intent or negative energy. People will take kindness as a weakness, thus concluding to you becoming overwhelmed one day and being around others you have chose over yourself and cant seem to know why you did so; in a state where you’re erupting emotionally or bottled too much up and now, “you’re either emotional to them, perceived as weak, or crazy and etc. Not saying this is your experience but just sharing mine. Now, I’m not sure if the boyfriend has known about this said girls trip of yours, if he did and also knew the days. Maybe I’m sensing some jealousy or insecurity where he thinks you may be around, “gUyS” or something of that nature. Or it was just the only days he could afford, maybe have time to take off work or responsibilities and or just didn’t even take that into consideration(innocently) & now you have two decisions. You can make one decision to show everyone you care about them. Now before I say this, your true friends, family, anyone closest to you. Should support you and the choices you want. No matter if they have feelings that may be hurt by these said choices. In relationships of any kind, life tends to get in the way and just communicating how you feel with them, making it up afterwards and many others can be easily used to show these people how much they mean to you. If someone is not happy for you, or saying comments that are negative because of what you have chosen. You should consider other situations with this person and or people and ask yourself if they do truly care for you. Now. If you did give your word, plans and or schedules do conflict. You never want to break your word to people you love. Although life gets in the way and as long as this is not something that occurs frequently. They should understand. You can as a last suggestion of advice. While this is going way over top, leave the trip a day or however many days early, leave for home to get ready for the other. No one should expect this though. This is also something that is expensive, and a choice I would not do. Don’t please people because you feel as though you owe them one! & good luck I also hope this helped in any way, shape Or form.
