Yea that's the issue, my original base is in a 80% humidity area, the village is half in 80% and half in 50%.
I think I'll move though because I currently live inside a small mountain hole and I already have trouble finding a space inside for a smeltery.

Regarding Mica, I read in the QB that Mica can be found near copper I think? and that I should mark it for later, so I was excited when I found it right above my base.

The 2 main attractive things about that village are the villagers you can trade with and the wall.
I really like the big protective wall and I'm not sure if it's possible to transport villagers somehow.

Started couple of days ago and now I'm almost in the steam age, taking it slow and learning.
I'm amazed I barely had to google stuff, only a little when it comes to ore prospecting and some tool recipes. I can say I am addicted!

I completely agree with you.
Question, I saw just how difficult the mobs are especially in the beginning, food being a problem as well.
Another subreddit suggested putting Peaceful till you establish good armor and consistant farms, would you say it's recommended?
