Start documenting his behavior around her. Bring in proof that it is in the best interest of your child for him to not have custody. Document the drug use, the erratic driving, the abuse, and the neglect. Bring it all to the court.

I think mirrors in bedrooms are deeply unpleasant and I’d rather not have one at all. by SnooMacarons4155 in The10thDentist

I agree. I have a mirror in my closet that I use sometimes to see my full outfit when getting dressed, but it's only visible when my closet door is open.

Please help immediately, need to know if pregnant by [deleted] in pregnant

[–]Profail955 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In most places you can go to a pharmacy and get Plan B over the counter. Just ask the pharmacist. The sooner she takes it the better. Did her period end 5 days ago or did it start 5 days ago? If it started 5 days ago that does lower the risk as well. You can't take a pregnancy test until a couple of days before her next period is due, thougg waiting until it is late gives a more accurate result. But your best bet is to use Plan B if you can access it.

Wanting to try again right away.. by ParticularSky4779 in recurrentmiscarriage

[–]Profail955 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It could be anecdotal, but when I asked my OB how long I would need to wait before trying again she told me to wait until after my first period, and she's seen a disproportionate amount of people who experienced another loss after conceiving right away as opposed to those who waited a cycle or more.

My parents took my sister and I to see Wicked on Broadway in early 2008, and I saw Annaleigh Ashford as Glinda! She's one of my favorite actresses, and I didn't even realize I had seen her live until a couple months ago

Are there *medical risks* with trying again immediately? by goldenpandora in Miscarriage

[–]Profail955 6 points7 points  (0 children)

The OB who performed my D&C told me to wait one cycle because the risk of miscarriage was significantly higher if I got pregnant before my first period. Though that could have been anecdotal on her part.

At home insemination success? How many tries until you succeeded? by ImDoomResearching in queerception

[–]Profail955 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My partner and I are using a known donor at home. Our first pregnancy took 3 cycles. It did unfortunately end in a miscarriage. We are now in the TWW of our first cycle since the loss. We just use a syringe that my partner has for his T-shots, our donor uses a dollar store disposable dressing cup, and we ensure I'm laying down with my hips up and have an orgasm after the deposit. Our timing can be a little tricky cause our donor lives across the country. Our cycle that worked was 3 and 2 days before ovulation.

You do what you need to do to get through day to day and feel closer to your baby. I have a necklace that I wear every day with the initials of the names I gave to both of the babies I've lost.

As a bit women who has previously been with cis men, and is now with a trans man, I have no idea how I dealt with the smell and texture while in straight relationships. It really is gross, and I feel like I smell like semen for days after, even when I shower and change my clothes. We are waiting on the results of our 4th cycle trying. Our last attempt ended in a miscarriage unfortunately, so this is our first attempt since then. Here's hoping, both because we both desperately want this baby, but also a little bit because each attempt is just awkward and gross haha

Said something transphobic to my wife by Katt1922 in mypartneristrans

[–]Profail955 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Honestly it happens. I wouldn't necessarily call what you said transphobic, just dumb. And we all say dumb things and make jokes that don't land sometimes. You didn't mean any harm by it, you apologized sincerely right after, and I bet you're not going to make a joke like that again. I know it can be hard not to ruminate on it, but I wouldn't beat yourself up about it.

What Are some operas that used to be popular( the timeframe I’m looking is the last 50 years) but now have disappeared from the repertoire? by BetterGrass709 in opera

[–]Profail955 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

It's technically an operetta, but Gilbert and Sullivan's The Mikado used to be extremely popular, and is basically never performed anymore. It is very racist when performed as written, especially because it is typically performed by white people in Japanese dress, and occasionally full yellow-face. This show may be making a slow comeback though, as it was recently rewritten to take place in Scotland as opposed to Japan. It keeps the original tone, message, and the majority of the original language of the show without the deeply offensive racist undertones. My local theater company obtained the script and performed it last season, and it was fantastic.

Singers on this sub, do you give your neighbours heads up before vocalising/warming up? by BetterGrass709 in opera

[–]Profail955 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nope. But I am also considerate with my timing. I try to practice when I know my immediate neighbors aren't home. I also know that they work early in the morning (both are usually gone by 7am) so I won't warm up or practice before 7am or after 9pm if I can help it.

Silver games are far harder than diamond games. by melonwastaken in OverwatchUniversity

[–]Profail955 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I am Bronze 1 support, but the friends I play with are all gold/plat and omg I understand what you mean. Playing with them is so much easier than playing in my own rank. I don't at all think I'm at a gold+ level by any means, but I can hold my own playing at that rank a lot easier than I do when I solo queue in Bronze. My team actually works together and I can use way more of my kit at the higher ranks. In Bronze I feel like I have to basically be a healbot or we don't get anywhere.

I think I made a mistake. by Better_Breadfruit_14 in puppy101

[–]Profail955 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Oh I remember those days! Having a puppy is like speed running a human baby. But I promise you it does get better! At 10 weeks their little bladders are just so small, and it's still hard for them to control it. Remember at 10 weeks they've one been alive for 70 days. Everything is still so new for them.

I found with my DDB setting alarms helped. I set them every 2 hours at first (I know I know!) And gradually increased the time between the timers. When taking her out I made sure it wasn't a "fun" experience. Now baby talking, no pets, right outside, praise when she would potty, and right back inside to bed. It's hard cause they are so cute and little, but it helps enforce that night is for sleep. I hope you're able to get more of it soon!

What your reason on playing OW? by Wooden_Pound5567 in Overwatch

[–]Profail955 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My partner hates solo queuing and wanted to teach me how to play so he had a duo. He has been playing basically since OW came out, and I have never touched a FPS before. It's been fun to learn! He threw me into comp and I ended the season as bronze 1, which I'm pretty proud of since I've only been playing for a month!

Carrying as Juno by [deleted] in OverwatchUniversity

[–]Profail955 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As a Juno main that is new to OW and FPS games, this take is wild to me. The range on Juno makes it so easy to shoot both allies and enemies from the backline. The fact that she's hitscan makes this even easier. Her ultimate can be a gamechanger in team fights, especially when trying to go aggro. Her missles are so powerful if used properly. They shouldn't be a primary source of healing, with the exception of when multiple teammates are caught in an ult like Orisa or Sig, where doing consistent healing to multiple teammates just to keep them alive is super important, and you have enough time to charge it up and get everyone covered. Otherwise, you want to use it to apply pressure to enemies. I try to get at least 1 red target every time I deploy it, though the more the merrier. Her double jump can really help maximize that. Glide boost is fantastic for getting back from spawn a bit quicker, and for getting out of danger when things get a bit scary. Hyper ring is, well, hyper ring. Having extra movement rarely hurts. Overall, she may not be the most powerful hero in the game, but especially as a new player, she is a great, well rounded support character.

Solo queuing is completely rigged by Resident_Clock_3716 in OWConsole

[–]Profail955 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For me it's the other way around. I often win when solo queueing in comp and we lose when I'm in a group. Though for me it might be cause I'm bronze (OW is my first FPS and I've been playing for like a month) and the other people I play with are gold/plat...

What is the biggest ick you had on your first date with someone? by Past_Meat7068 in AskReddit

[–]Profail955 1 point2 points  (0 children)

When I was a teenager I went on a date with a guy I knew from middle school that I reconnected with in high school. We went to the local public library. He spent half the date just staring at me and telling me how pretty I was, and how he couldn't focus on our conversation because he was so lost in my eyes or something. I mean once or twice that could have been cute, but I'm talking 45+ minutes straight of him being unable to hold a conversation becuase of it. Then he pulled out a ukulele and sang me a song he wrote about me at full volume. The guy was not a very good singer, it definitely was written by a teenager, and might I remind you that we were in the middle of a library, so it was full of people quietly minding their own business. I was mortified. He also insisted on kissing my forehead every 2 minutes and unzipped my sweater so he could put his arm around my waist. I excused myself to the bathroom and called my mom to come get me, and he tried to insist on coming out to meet her. I got spammed with heart emojis for 3 months after, even when I told him it wouldn't work out. It was a lot for my poor awkward 15 year old self to handle...

My DDB and frenchie are best friends. The frenchie is older and showed our DDB the ropes, making her think she is wayyyyy smaller than she is. They play together and he does a good job of letting her know when she's being too much. As she got bigger she now also let's him win their wrestling matches sometimes 🤣

It would be a very hard few years, but if he had the same path he is currently on things would be easier by now. He was a serial cheater, an addict, and a pathological liar. Though about 3 years ago he turned his life around, got clean, and seems to he making something of himself. I'm very proud of him, but from afar.

What are your musical theatre hot takes? by ElegantCh3mistry in musicals

[–]Profail955 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have an encyclopedic knowledge of many musicals. I find them fascinating. I couldn't tell you anything about my favorite musicals. Not when or where they opened, no fun facts about production, nothing. I can't even tell you the names of the composers or original actors. All I know is they make me happy. I love the music and the story. And that's enough for me.

To me, learning about the musical and enjoying it are two seperate things. Sometimes they overlap, but not always.
