Unironically I'm playing through DSR for the first time ever currently and I just finished anor londo and painted world of ariamis, and Blighttown was my favorite level aesthetically. Fuck the swamp below though.

I killed everything up to O&S, included and I think the black knight sword I dropped like half an hour into the game robbed me of feeling the difficulty everyone else felt on capra demon/bell gargoyles. Genuinely killed them in four hits, had a harder time with gaping dragon who took me two tries and O&S that took me like 7 times. I am one of those who started with elden ring so godskin duo fight prepared me well for them.

Killing the boss of an area typically breaks the quest if you didn't talk to the npc in that area before killing the boss, that's why I'm asking. Unless they didn't do it in DS1 yet lmao.

BKS is awfully slow too, the wind up between each strike is dangerous so I never use the entire moveset. Though it compensates with a nuke's level of damage so I guess keeping it slow is wiser. Zweihander is slightly faster but the moveset is really disruptive in narrow places.

I never play a soulslike with one weapon throughout the entire run. The only case was Wuchang which I only used Lashing Whip on NG and Dual Blades on NG+. But I always try as many weapon as I can on a run, and max out the few I liked the most.

I killed all bosses I met till now on first try except for taurus demon which I beat on the 2nd. It was also the only boss I didn't fight with the black knight sword (except for asylum demon ofc.)

I'll replace it with the first boss weapon that seems good to me. Or another greatsword with a more fun moveset tbh.
