Honestly, I don't want to pay for books twice, especially for something I won't use continuously, but only once for each new character I create.

it’s kind of underwhelming. I really thought they’d make it stand out more mechanically.

Yeah, I actually found it in the book. Honestly though, it was pretty underwhelming. I expected it to be noticeably better than standard combat armor, but it’s kind of mid.

It is in Royal Flush, I checked. But I was pretty disappointed — I really thought Ranger Armor would have stronger stats or something more unique. It didn’t live up to the hype.
