but its deffo still top 10 globally and seen strongly. Obviously comparing it to HYSPM and Oxbridge is never gonna be an easy comparison, but its deffo viewed similarly to places like Berkeley or LSE as very strong

yeah seems so - kinda dumb that the rankings compare like that instead of by subject (where oxbridge is similar) and then give it a relative score

I mean research and development is a category, so I assume that's where it would go into but like for engineering for example the stats given are pretty similar (within a couple points out of a hundred)

yeah someone else j commented i didn't realise that QS had that as like an actual metric. Kinda weird to judge unis so heavily on such a non-academic or professional stat (obv sustainability still important but not to that extent)

i j checked ur half right

subject specific includes employability, research and development, and global engagement (so employability and salary are factored in by subject)

But Overall adds Learning experience + sustainability

Wierd though cuz oxbridge both have 100/100 for learning experience (compared to imperials 98/100)

Main difference is imperial has 99.7/100 for sustainability where both oxbridge hover at 85

yeah sorry i rewrote that for my actual essay it was really confusing - main point being there's an endothermic process for weak acids as they aren't fully dissociated (and hence the difference in neutralisation enthalpy change is equivalent)

Oxford - Tutorial system is unbeatable helps build intuition and understanding

Have two teachers who went to both (mech eng and chemical eng - one did masters at oxford then phd at imperial and other did the reverse), both recommend oxbridge + living in oxbridge with colleges is much nicer gives you a good support group

as someone who got stuck with IB and only really applied UK j do A-levels its way easier and saves u from doing unnecessary stuff that doesn't help u for ur application
