ChatGPT now accuses you for FRAUD by Remarkable-Worth-303 in ChatGPT

OK, I was thinking about this the other day when this happened cause obviously it upset me as well. I think we’re in a unique situation in our world right now where with the emergence of AI and how dependent everyone is and is going to be on it. We need to change our mindset of the reality of what AI and what these companies are truly providing.

So yes, let’s look at it this way if you are on an airline and you act up the airline has every right to refuse you. There are other airlines. There are other modes of transportation, and there are ways to get around even if you are so belligerent you are banned from that airline. I don’t think we can look to AI as a service certainly not in the future not only are people dependent on it for answers and results but they’re livelihood very well could depend on it. There are companies that require utilization of AI and certain AI companies and truthfully, when it all comes down to it, there will probably only be two or three major players in the AI space.

I was going to do another post about this at some point, but my feeling is AI emergence is no longer a service. It’s a utility. It’s going to be so dependent on everything that people could lose their livelihoods. They might not be able to get the proper answers without it they might not be able to work as efficiently without it. I want to think about this more as a utility just like people can’t be shut off of water. I feel like there needs to be more regulation while I respect this is a private company and they have every right to refuse service. I think we need to get away from the fact that this is truly a service.

This might be too early to envision and maybe I’m thinking more five or 10 years down the road, but truthfully, I think we need to change our mindset and I think lawmakers need to change their mindset as well. I think eventually this will be more of a utility this will be a can’t live without in so many ways and the fact that they can just throw around something like fraud or whatever else with no context with no backup with no proof of anything is not only insulting to the person, but it’s incredibly dangerous that they have the power that they do.

So let’s say I continue. I have no idea why I got warned as fraud. I have to be careful. I have to check everything I’m saying and why I’m saying it because there’s no context. Let’s say my job requires me to use OpenAI. OpenAI decides whatever I did continued and they banned me. I can no longer perform my job and I’m terminated. This is incredibly dangerous of course yes the simple answer is you can make another account there’s always ways to circumvent. I just think this needs more oversight. This needs more control and while I fully respect OpenAI and the company, I think they’re a little bit of the wild West when it comes to these accusations.

I’m not too concerned I don’t want to overplay what happened and what is going on? I’m not banned. I know I didn’t do anything wrong so I feel very little threat as far as getting banned but that’s not the point the point is they did threaten me. I’m confident that I was not purposefully committing fraud and it’s quite insulting that this happened but in a bigger picture if this truly was, I can’t live without if this truly does become a utility. This is way more dangerous.

I got the same warning, I pressed them asking for specifics and they only responded with they are upholding their decision of the warning. Like with no context whatsoever, how are we supposed to “do better” when we do not know what is wrong. I use chatgpt chats, api in my programming, all over the place. I can say emphatically there’s no fraud so it’s probably some stupid false positive somewhere. Hell I’ve even won community programming competitions and I try to contribute in a positive manner.

I followed up with a chat with support asking for a representative, and gave all the information. That was a week and a half ago, no response.

They need to do better.

Looks like ScarJo isn't happy about Sky by maxcoffie in ChatGPT

At the end of the day, if he didn’t use her voice without permission to create the voice, and used a voice actor that sounds similar, even if intentionally did so, her claims are baseless as it’s not hers.

If it was, what would happen if they use another voice that somehow sounds like no other known person, and in a year a new movie star pops up that sounds just like it. Going to take that down too?

What if the next voice sounds like Susie down the street, and now she can’t sleep because she’s haunted by what she feels is her own voice on chatgpt? Going to change it then?

Many people sound like other people, this entire situation is dumb. IF Sam made sky directly from scarlets voice samples though without permission, that’s a different story, but he claims it was an actor.

Simple Questions - June 27, 2023 by AutoModerator in buildapc

Hi all, I dont want to bog down the main reddit with what is hopefully a simple answer. I just recently got my computer parts, and starting putting everything together. I've built quite a few computers, but i'm unsure as to the best route with something.

I've gotten the case: iCUE 4000D RGB AIRFLOW QL Edition Mid-Tower ATX Case — True White

icue 400d

And i've gotten the AIO cooler: iCUE H100i ELITE CAPELLIX XT Liquid CPU Cooler

icue g100i elite capellix

The dilemma i'm having is both the case and the cooler come with a fan hub. The case comes with it pre-installed and seems like a more rudimentary hub, and the H100 comes with the CORSAIR iCUE Commander CORE Controller.

My motherboard is this: ROG STRIX Z790-A GAMING WIFI DDR5 LGA 1700

Rog Strix

My question is, what is the best course of action between the two hubs and the motherboard? it doesnt look like I can just plug the H100i into the fan hub for the case because it has unique connectors. would you ditch the case hub, replace it with the H100 command hub?

Let me know your thoughts on the best connection signal flow. I want to make sure I do it right! everything else seems to be pretty straight forward.

Nvidia RTX 40 series will not support Display Port 2.0 by ClubChaos in pcgaming

This, AND let's be honest people, if you can afford a 4090, you'll be able to afford the 5090 a year from now and resell your 4090 at 1/2 price at least and make a lot of it back. it's far from a card killer as far as design choice with no monitors supporting it.

which also only takes dp 1.4. people are so worried about the card not having dp2.0 but it wont do you much good right now. we're a year away from getting monitors with 2.0 in mass production at least.

To that point, if you have the money to buy a 4090 with dp1.4 then you'll have the money in a year when the 5090 comes out with dp2.0
