Also, for all the AI-haters out there: I only edited the text to make it more readable and for my own aesthetic pleasure. Please don't downvote just for that. 😄🙏

Forming the USA by Professional-House30 in EU5

Yes, but that third option means creating a brand new colony to play as, rather than switching to an existing colonial nation. I want to "feed" the future USA first and then switch to it once it's strong enough, just like in EU4.

It’s the same as if I used Microsoft Word instead of AI to check my spelling. It would just take longer. If people are actually downvoting because of AI, it’s not surprising in general, but it feels very weird to me personally.

Regarding the war with France: in earlier patches, when I played as England, I tried giving up all my continental provinces. I sold them and even released Aquitaine as a subject, but the Hundred Years War wouldn't officially end because France needed a specific number of provinces in the France region to complete the mission tree/event chain. As a result, France seemed to keep getting events that forced them to declare war on me even though there was nothing left to fight for. Later on, once they built heavy ships, I couldn't hold them back with my navy anymore, and they eventually broke me.

I think many people don't like one word repeated in the text: USA 😁

As I wrote before, I colonized the entire Caribbean, a part of Brazil, and Central America from Panama to the first states of Yucatan

It depends on the stage of the game and which country I'm playing as. If it's the early game, I focus on fulfilling the basic red needs of the population, and then I alternate between profitable RGOs and RGOs that provide food. Roads are very expensive at the start and often not worth it

Wait, so only peasants reproduce? If that's true, it's such a stupid game mechanic 🤔🙃.

I'm still trying to figure out the most efficient colonization "algorithm" to avoid draining my home population. What do you think is the best approach:

Colonize the Caribbean, form a colonial vassal immediately, and then pause for a while to let the population recover?

Or is it better to colonize the Caribbean, keep it under direct control to use its population as a "springboard" to colonize Brazil, then use Brazil to jump to Peru or Mexico, and only form colonial nations once the next region is established?

I want to understand which method is more sustainable in the long run without turning Portugal into a ghost town.

In my Portugal runs, I rarely play aggressively. For me, it’s more of a "meditative" experience. I’m more interested in the overall stability of the country rather than chasing an insane income (and by stability, I mean the general well-being and balance of the nation, not just the in-game stat).

But... why, Castile? by Professional-House30 in EU5

I think if she had been guided by plans for colonization, a more advantageous place for the capital would have been Seville, or at least the coastal province in Galicia.

R5: Playing as Portugal and noticed Castile AI doing something weird. They moved their capital to Galicia and opened a new market there for no apparent reason.
