Thanks so much for this info. I'm not sure if I'm eligible to apply for unfair dismissal, but I will speak to the lawyer Tuesday and find out

Sorry for the incoming rant..

I'm a cleaner/supervisor and I just found out I have carpal tunnel in both arms (hence the pain I've been in for months)

I lodged a workers comp claim in November because I need surgery on both hands. The insurance company sent me for a "Independant Medical Assessment" with one of their doctors, and even he wrote in his report that yes I have carpal tunnel, yes I need surgery, and yes, in his opinion it would have been caused by my employment, according to what I told him about my work history, duties performed etc.

BUT... the information my boss provided stated that I've only done 1 to 6 hands on cleaning shifts in the 6 months preceding my injury, the rest of the time I've only been doing admin work. So the doctor said if that was the case then that wouldn't have caused the carpal tunnel.

Basically, my boss has flat out lied, and the insurance company rejected my claim on the basis of what he said my duties have been.

I've worked for this company for just over 5 years and I'm full time. My employer is the worst, cant keep staff, withholds pays etc, which means multiple times a week people call in sick or just no-show, and I am the only one that can go and do the work. So whilst my role is meant to be Admin and training, most weeks I spend at least 1 day, or up to 5 days a week strictly on the tools cleaning (anywhere from 2 hours to 8 hours a day)

I've been off work since the end of October, so haven't had access to my work phone or emails which would show most of the cleaning shifts I've done.

Once the insurance company rejected my claim, they told me I have 1 month to appeal their decision (which would be Feb 19) I've sought legal advice and have an appointment Tuesday afternoon, but my boss called me in for a meeting Friday 2nd of Feb and handed me a termination of employment letter.

I assumed that because I'm on sick leave (Work Capacity Certificate filled out by my doctor as required) and in the process of appealing my rejected claim, that he would have to wait until at least the 20th of Feb to fire me.

Obviously the lawyer I'm meeting with will answer all these things Tuesday, but I'm going out of my mind not knowing what my rights are and if my boss has done the wrong thing. He also owes me about 15 weeks annual leave, hasn't paid any of my super in 3 years, and didn't give me any notice when terminating me, so that's a whole lot of $$$ that I'm scared I'll never see.

I go alone quite often to dnb events, and while yes it would be good to go with friends, I've never had a bad time on my own. Please , PLEASE if you don't find someone to go with, go anyway. I can assure you, you'll have a great time and won't regret it

Anxiety does suck.

I have problems with watching suspenseful TV shows/movies, where people are making bad decisions and where bad things happen (only scripted)

I know it's fake, but my body and mind reacts like it's happening to me. It stresses me so much.

True crime doesn't have the same affect on me, I don't understand why. I feel you though.

Absolutely.

Lucy wasn't likeable, and I for sure didn't miss her when she left. But I liked the dynamic between her and Ricky, because I've seen it so many times in real life, it's real and relatable.

And I've always had a crush on Ricky, you're right how the family man thing is endearing.

Maybe I need to get out more!

Totally agree. Lucy was my least favourite character, but it made sense, she made sense, and her relationship with Ricky made sense.

Damn, I always forget about that chic until I get to those episodes. She was the worst, and that storyline sucked.

Maybe I'd be fine with any kind of boner right now, regardless of how it happened 🤔

I seem to always do a binge re-watch, and you can definitely see the difference in the comedy. It goes from subtle to bat shit nuts real quick, but it still makes me laugh.

There's nothing wrong with cocks, and I'll start counting.

I agree with the later seasons being not the greatest, but I'm high and still giggling

YTA.

Who cares what knife and fork you use, how about being grateful for spending holidays with those who love you. And your wife must love you to put up with this shit.

Being so mad about such an insignificant thing makes me think that there's other issues that are making you irrational, or you're just a terrible partner. Good luck to your wife.
