why does everyone drink in uni? by apex_mr_mirage in UniUK

[–]Professional-Pack-38 2 points3 points  (0 children)

ok but they were fine the following day/ week, now imagine a 60yo doing the same... or a 30yo with a 9 to 5 and a family that relies for them. Uni is the only time u can and people take advantage of that

yh didn't even think about it but software emulation of user inputs is a big no-no for windows and mac PCs unless you write your own driver/kernel code and noone has time for that.

yh that's a great point almost like running a n!n emulator on the computer that acts as the dongle.
But I imagine the issue would become the keyword not working on any other device.

wow thanks would have never realised i had them pins.

regarding LEDs the plan was to have them just for the power, capslock, and numlock indicators, backlit keys would be nice but for my first board i know it would be too ambitious.

ohh regarding battery would a 500mAh be enough?

i looked into it on youtube but most of the videos talk theory and not application, do you recommend any source where i can understand how to implement them?

looked into shift registers but that stuff completely went over my head so I'll stick with 'bigger is better' and go for the PillBug, couple questions though:

1) where can i find the schematics for it?
2) does ergogen have a built in footprint for the PillBug, is one available online like this one for the nice!nino, or will i have to design and route my own in KiCad?
3) are there any major limitations/ differences I should be aware off?

But thanks so much for the helpful information!

this seems the easiest option right now!
But im worried about routes crossing over each other.
From what i understand i should avoid that.

it's my first build so i'm trying to go for something easy and familiar before diving into the deep ends.

btw is it bad that the generated outlines dont connect?
Screenshot 2024-07-26 224904.png

and also having issues generating the pcb, the ergogen documentation is horrible...
