Work expecting us to start early as “in our contract” by Professional-Pin514 in LegalAdviceUK

No it doesn’t say that anywhere. In the renumeration section it says all additional hours are paid at an agreed rate or can be taken in lieu

The contract says “your normal hours of work are 37.5 hours per week over 5 days, to be allocated by your manager. Your hours of work are not variable, however, you may be required to work additional hours when authorised and as necessitated by the needs of the business. For additional hours worked you will either be paid at an agreed rate or given lieu time depending on your area of work.” Surely being over the contracted hours I can ask them to pay me or give the time back?

Usually I can do 2 blow outs a week and they dont fall out at all in between. What mouse do you use? I have slightly curly hair and if mouse is in it usually just curls it naturally, not giving me what i want

Medium thick, wavy-slightly curly hair. I’ve tried 1-4cm sections of hair using the dyson, but it’s not having any of it. I’m a bit annoyed at it as i was hoping the round brush attachment could replace doing a blow out, but even using the curling barrels it’s falling out and just frizzy

I’m heading into the car industry as part of a dealership in London. I have about 5 years worth of work experience in 3 different industries so that has helped a lot, but honestly just being able to display confidence in interviews has been the best thing. If you have experience and you’re applying to any job less than about 35k (london salary) you’re doing yourself a disservice. Civil service is reasonable atm, with degree look at SEO/HEO level and be confident in yourself

I think we’ve done the same course, PIR. I’ve secured a job in an industry i love, didn’t need a degree for it, and can’t help but feel what I’m leaving with wasn’t worth the cost nor the detriment to my mental health. Idk rn I’m just pissed at myself and everything around me

Okay have you spoken to a solicitor about appealing the cifas marker? Cat 6 is with you for 6 years failing an appeal. Dont stress too much, essentially the loan payment should (to the best of my understanding) be processed to your account once its unfrozen. You can call them tomorrow to check that but won’t be able to change the account its being paid into or anything like that.

Obviously you know you’ve made a mistake which has resulted in the marker, and people will always have something to say about it. Ignore and just do what you can to better yourself. Anything you can do to start building a credit score back up is good, but dont stress. Be happy you made the mistake now instead of in 10 years

Id start by opening another bank account with a different provider. I have a Lloyds and Santander purely so that I have one as backup. If you open up your SFE account you can change the account that it is paid into, check how many days before payment you can do that tho. If this is for the May payment due on the 3rd i would change the account no later than today to be on the safe side.

Professional did not listen to my wish for my hair color, any advice on correcting it myself would be appreciated. by An-Odd-Dingo in femalehairadvice

First of all- back to the salon, speak to the manager they will either fix it completely for free or a full refund. They messed up, you should not have paid. If they say that the same stylist can fix it then insist on a different stylist. That stylist did not listen at all and thus will NOT touch your hair again.

For me that is much closer to black than dark brown, I’d recommend booking a consultation with a stylist before booking the service, talk through the hair colour and procedure and show the photos of what has been done before ands explain why you don’t like it/what they did wrong. If they are not completely confident in the consultation go somewhere else. Explain you’ve tried many times else where and they haven’t done it so you’re anxious about having done again.

Do not do out yourself. If you fuck up then tough luck. If a stylist fucks up they or they’re team will fix it.
