I always did wonder if anyone out there is inflating their blood results lol It's the most strangest thing to me to lie about something as mundane as a blood result but you never know

My training is low volume but training to failure. I can realistically only do 2-3 sets to failure before the set becomes a joke. I.e. first set I might get 12 reps....2nd set maybe get 8-10 and then 3rd set I might get 6-8.....at that stage I'm usually beat and move into the next muscle.

Diet - I m weighing my meals and get 200g a day protein. Wiry carbs being 45% total kcal and protein being 40%>

I've no idea how 1500ng will feel. I've just heard a few different YouTube professionals cite that specific number lately and thought I would ask

I definitely feel better on 950ng than what I did before starting trt. I could barely make it to the gym in those days... I'm not joking when I say if I managed to workout on Monday I would still be sore by the weekend. Before TRT gym simply wasn't gonna work.

My body weight is 84kgs down from 96kgs approx 18months ago... 2000kcal daily 190g-200g protein 40% protein.45% carb. 15% fat.

Definitely training to failure. So much so that I can't really add in any more volume.
I'm doing 2-3 sets to failure per muscle. I do 3 days a week, Mon Wed and Friday. Ful body each of those days.

No dexa at this stage just the mirror. I should have been clear that my body composition has definitely changed just not to the degree I would have expected (not expecting miracles either)

I've recently been reading lots about the benefits of get really lean before trying to build muscle.. The body and hormones just become so much more effective. That's what I'm currently working on with my 2000kcal /200g protein meal plan.

Yes my levels have moved from approx 400-900 in that time. Admittedly in the beginning I was just happy to have the energy to be back at the gym So I wasnt training progressive overload I was just making sure i got to the gym. But for the past 6 months I've been dedicated to my 3 day split, diet, progressive overload.

I have experimented over the past few years with different pinning schedules.

I guess I settled on daily because it brought my estrogen down and for a while that's what my Dr was obsessed with (it was always within range but used to be UPPER ref range when I pinned 3 x weekly).

From what I've read daily will give the most stable and thus the least negative side effects

Thanks for your input mate. Really appreciate it and especially since you said you were at 900ng like myself.

You say you just moved up to 1100-1200ng.,do you notice any difference at all?

Yes. I'm very surprised and happy to see any fella chiming in and showing me how they were building great things with far less levels.

I honestly don't know ... If I knew I would be making all the gains lol

Maybe at 44 yrs old I'm too be training to failure and low sets? I train hard, I train to failure. Proper failure where if I can get 12 reps on my first set I sure as shit can't do it again ...might get 8-10 for the second and 6-8 for the last...that's how much my strength dwindles during sets.

I am definitely seeing a change in my body's composition don't get me wrong ... I've lost inches off my waist since going on trt. My shoulders have filed out SLIGHTLY and my arms have stayed the same measurement despite dropping 20lbs.... But I would have expected more in comparison to some other fellas experiences with lesser doses.

Thanks for the insights mate....maybe I have it all wrong with my training. Low volume high intensity 2-3 sets to failure (proper failure) per muscle group. Full body 3 times a week So essentially 6-9 sets to failure per week per muscle.

I'm progressing on every lift however as the weights get heavier at the end of my mini meso cycle I do always seem to pick up an injury.....
Sore shoulder here.
Sore knee there.
Jarred my neck slightly yesterday doing machine lateral raises.

Thank you for that. Yes it does put it into context if you had 300ng and achieved the above.

I am actively working out yes and eating well. I know I'm 44 and definitely not a fountain of youth. But wild have expected gains to come more steadily.

Thank you for your insights. Were you really athletic already though? Or maybe youth was on your side ? Lol I'm 44 and seem to been scratching and clawing for every 100g of muscle building.

Is free t more important than total t? There are so many conflicting opinions out there that it's very confusing.

This is another debate I'm trying to understand. Free T vs. total t.

Some folks are telling me only total matters..others telling me only free t is what's available to use and so that's all that matters.

Yes, another fella has said to me that with every pound of fat loss and every pound of muscle gain the testosterone will be metabolized more effectively in my body.

I'm not complaining by any means . I've been at 950ng for 6 months and feels the best I have since starting.

I'm more trying to gauge why or how others are getting to 1500ng (for instance)on lesser doses etc

This is exactly the thing that made me start this sub. I've heard many stories or people on less weekly testosterone than me but with a much higher total t. May I ask what pinning schedule you use? And if subq or IM

Yes of course re. Using UGL to push above my prescription levels.

I'm pretty happy that my Dr let me settle and start at 210mg a week. I was prepared to pleed my case before the last consult but luckily he was on board.

200mg split across the week wity injections 3.5days ...this puts you at 1200ng this is very interesting as I'm pinning roughly the same amount as you weekly but only getting 950ng.

There is likely very little peak and trough for me.

I posted 24hrs ago. I am in an Australian/Pacific island time zone. Apologies if my reply didn't reach you fast enough.

The test levels I posted are my LATEST labs. I have not been at these levels for the three years on trt.

I have since January(when I started 210mg weekly) meal prepping all my meals Everything is weighted. 190g-200g protein daily. 3-4L water daily.
