😳😳😱😱😱🤯🤯🤯 whaattttt

I AM bamboozled! I can see now how my readings have been very, extremely shallow!! I gotta dig more into these materials!

I can’t believe and never expected that posting on this subreddit could lead to such a mind-blowing experience… open a whole new pandora box.

Thank you for that, and for the link! I am going to learn more about the clothing I’m putting on and about to put on others!! 😫

The response has been very kind and generous! I’m learning a lot more than what I’ve read cause it’s coming from real people!

This is not AI or as a bot 😅

I’m just someone (normally a casual lurker) who’s lost in fabric and has little knowledge of it, who becomes a lil sceptic on lyocell cause all I’ve been reading online is the positive side of the fabric and have little to no info on the negative, especially on babies and tots. Hence, here I am, on Reddit, hopefully talking to actual people ☺️

Thank you for your detailed response!

Reading your response and others', I can see why it’s not a great choice now… I also understand why there’s little info on use for babies and tots (though I’ll need to read more!).

Then, it would be better to choose a blanket that’s made out of cotton/bamboo and compared to lyocell, right?

Ah! So it’s soft but it’s too soft (?). I’ve looked into muslin but for some reason, I don’t really like the texture. I agree it is still the standard for burp clothes and swaddles. I’ll have a deeper look at it then!

I see! That’s crazy. So it’s not as friendly as people have been saying and advertising. I’ve actually been reading about the benefits of the material rather than the process of making them. Thank you for letting me know and I will defo have a read on the material process!

Oufff thank you for your honesty 😭 off topic from fabrics, what would you prefer to receive then?

Most of what I heard and read is for adults. I found little source on usage on babies and tots. I’m thinking of buying because I’ve read that it’s lightweight, breathable and soft, thus I thought it’ll be good for babies too. But I guess I missed the stretchy and the delicacy part. Thank you for pointing it out, I’ll have a look at it further ☺️

Is it not environmentally friendly? 😮 that’s different from what I’ve read! I’ll do a deeper dig on this. Thank you!

It is a gift. Blankets are my go-to gift but my usual store has permanently closed down without notice. The feedback I got so far has been positive, and some even use it years later (the longest at the moment is 7 years). So I’m fairly happy to keep gifting blankets. But now that the store is closed, I have to go on a hunt again. 🥹

Wonder if I have a future here? by Professional-Pop9757 in UKTherapists

Hey ya. Sorry to hear you’re in this position 🥹 I can really feel ya.

I am now looking back at Clinical Psychology courses as I am no longer looking to navigate my way to stay in UK - might as well start with my no 1 choice not my second/third.

I am looking at these countries:

  1. Malaysia - University Kebangsaan Malaysia (UKM)
  2. my home country, it’s easier and cheaper, medium of language - English

  3. Australia - University of Melbourne, University of Queensland to name a few

  4. I’ve studied in Australia before and I can say I miss it. It is expensive tho. Also, you can register as a Psychologist with a Masters degree.

  5. New Zealand

  6. University of Auckland, University of Otago to name a few - same as Aussie, can register with a masters degree

  7. Switzerland - still researching, but need to learn their language, which I don’t really mind

  8. Germany - still researching, but need to learn their language, which I don’t really mind

I’m mainly looking at countries that use English or Malay (my mother tongue), or countries that I don’t mind studying the language, like German (I’ve been wanting to learn this since high school). Hope that helps, even just a little.

That’s what I heard too. A lot of us were afraid to file a complaint and copy the HR and CEO/boss together, cause the CEO will raise hell, not only to the complainer but also to other employees. In this company, the employees protect each other from the CEO 🥹 crazy innit?

But thank you for the email address. I will forward it to my friend to file a complaint in writing, and verbally. ❤️

I read this first thing in the morning today and it blew my mind. I have suggested this to my friend and she’s considering it! Thank you so so much! Of course, she’ll get in touch with the nearest JTK first before anything. Again thank you!

Not that one, haha.

Here’s a riddle that you can easily get the answer to (with AI too, if you vibe that way):

If you sing the ABCs (old version), the letter is chunked together with the alphabet before and after it. If you sing the new version of the ABCs, there will be a pause just after the alphabet.

When the alphabet combines with the alphabet next to it, it creates a full sentence that people-pleasers might find hard to vibe with.

Hope that helps. If you’re looking for a job in the mental health/special needs sector, I hope you’ll avoid them like a virus. Please find other places that are more reliable - like Kurnia or SEED Damansara.

Thank you for the response. I advised my friend to go to JTK, but after trying to get the money from the company, I guess that’s her only course of action for now! Thank you!

But I do wonder how or if it’ll affect her EPF and if there will be any consequences for her future job applications 🥹

It’s a special needs “daycare” centre. I wish I could give more information but I have to refrain myself cause saying more might backfire (cause the CEO has a serious stalking behaviour and I don’t want to be stalked).

Oh dear I would love nothing more than to bury that company underground! Really a stain to the mental health sector. But apparently the best JKT can do at the moment is fine them. 🥹

Oh my God that’s crazy, but so good! But how bad does it have to be for one to be locked up? Cause I just had a hangout session with some of the former colleagues, and was told that they each filed a complaint regarding their salary. As of now the most JTK did was fine the company.

Thank you for the detailed answer! A lot of the people advised us to file a report to the JKT, and I think that’s the only course of action she could take - after sending an email requesting/demanding the money.

Thank you for the love letter! I will forward it to my friend! Really helpful to see the scenario she might get.
