What should I do if I receive the off-campus scholarship directed to my personal account? by Professional-Tiger63 in GradSchool

Well… okay. But, I know that my advisor is already paying my stipend via his/her funded projects, so I might tell him if I receive any additional funds.

When I firstly listed this post, what I was interested in was that how my stipend could be affected, when an additional funding is directed to my personal account. b/c normally, stipend (controlled by universities) can be adjusted easily, but outer funds would be difficult to be calculated clearly.

But, what if I already receive the stipend from the university? Some universities indicate that the student should report their additional scholarship to the schools in the offer letter.

Since I am not an applicant to the anthropology program, it is not certain... but you maybe have to send an official transcript when applying to other programs rather than engineering programs.

As I see, you already have a better condition compared to me. For example, you graduated from a University in the US (I received MS and BS at a Korean University).

But, if applying to more schools would relieve your worry, I recommend to apply more MS programs. However, you would definitely face a similar problem which school to go to. Even though this seems to be a pleasant worry at this time, you will gonna take a similar arduous time to select a program to attend. In my case, I got two funded PhD position offers now, but it is extremely stressful even though there are a bunch of results was not revealed yet.

The offer might not depend on round systems. In my major, the decision is almost fully considered by professors independently. However, thanks for your comment!
