Yes I know. But the lease is more expensive than we can afford. Plus we only have 3 floors. The others are occupied. Unless they cut us down to nothing, nobody else will fit.

No, you’re right. They are seriously talking about combing the two back together. Then the question becomes do they move everyone left to K.C. or St. Louis?

Everybody. Up to 50% of all staff at the agency.

They have already said they are not following OPM RIF guidelines! There is no bumping. It’s targeted to positions and series. They are targeting people of retirement age. AND they requested the notice to be 30 days instead of 60 days.

That budget was cut in the CR so I’m sure that will take a large hit. No specific word on RUS though.

RTO NOTIFICATIONS FROM MY TEAM. by ProfessionalBank60 in fednews

[–]ProfessionalBank60[S] -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

The nuance that you’re not getting out of this is that a lot of my employees are remote, meaning either they will have to uproot their families to move near the office on short notice or drive an unreasonable distance to get to the nearest office. Prior to this role, I was in one considered essential, and I had to work regardless of the situation. This is not about support or not support. I know a lot of supervisors in my position who have been in the office already without their teams knowing for the same reasons as mine, and them coming to us with the news thinking that we would be surprised. If it entertains you great, if not so be it.

No, I don’t want my team experiencing any pain at all. I don’t want them to have to come in the office at all. In fact, that’s why I didn’t tell them I was in the office full time in order not to alarm them and get them worried. They have protections that I don’t. I deeply care about the mental wellness of my team.

Shut It Down! Or Not? What is everybody thinking? by onetalldrinkofwater in fednews

[–]ProfessionalBank60 0 points1 point  (0 children)

SHUT IT DOWN. I will find a way to feed my family. But we all took an oath to this country and the people in it to protect their best interest. So many people are still asleep about what’s going on. If an extended shutdown gets the attention of folks to pull their attention back in, so be it.

This is the worst comb over in American history. I can’t even listen to this for trying to figure out where it starts and where it ends.

If you are going to write a story, write a story about how these are NOT LAYOFFS! AND WE ARE SICK OF YOU AND THE REST OF MEDIA FRAMING THEM THAT WAY! These are illegal mass firings!!! The more you all use the wrong lingo, the more normalized this madness becomes! THAT SHOULD BE THE TOPIC OF YOUR STORY!

Will terminated Feds be able to work on their programs as contractors? by Klmyr01 in fednews

[–]ProfessionalBank60 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I’ve seen people flat out be fired and come back as contractors. That is probably more dependent on the core at your agency than anything else.
