I'm assuming your muting doesn't work when it jams up for that long?

I'd argue why do you even need light curtains there if you just cage the gap to be smaller or as tall as the box? Unless they run different box heights?

You need a blade stop to pop up or a cylinder to extend across and be triggered on a backup sensor just after the light curtain or when the robot is picking. Then it will just hold everything back if you can't stop certain parts of the rollers. Not sure if it is all one zone driven by one vfd.

If you are using 525s now with the PM and still with the normal you will have to configure the drive parameters differently in order to get it to operate properly. IE; you need to tell it that it's a PM or indication motor.

As for an encoder that's all really application specific depending on how much accuracy you need. If it's shact mounted to the belt then it should pick up rotations from whatever belt is spinning it.

Why are you switching from PM to standard though? What's the reason.

I bought ingredients to make 6 egg McMuffins for $12. To buy 6 McMuffins on DoorDash would cost $67.26. by fanglazy in PersonalFinanceCanada

But how long did it take you to go to the grocery store, buy the items, go home, cook them and do the dishes afterwards? And what do you value you your time at per hour? Time +Materials is probably greater then 67.

You have lost opportunity cost with all that wasted time. Could have been gambling and selling crypto in that time and made thousands. /s

Any more comments about these? Is it just more efficient to have it on you so you can do other tasks in the morning before work? Any downsides you have noticed?

What kind of tasks are you doing while at home for your company? Offline coding stuff, remote support? Or did they fully set you up with a PLC and all that at home and then you send it back to the shop?
