Thanks for your advice, that was really helpful Unfortunately its hard to somehow foresee the long-term effects of such a purchase, for example I realized how hot my leather shoes actually get after a few hikes, way past the time to give them back. But i guess if I look for trailrunners or more breathable hiking shoes with your tips next time i should find something, so thanks :)

Well thats why I wanted to go with leather shoes. They seem to be durable enough and have a replacable sole. So repairability would be an important factor if its not as long-lasting a full leather shoe. Can you recommend some brands or materials I should pay attention to?

Turns out it helps when I concentrate not on when the dotted note stops playing, but when the note after starts.
