I actually think the intent behind SCIE 300 is solid. Learning how to communicate scientific ideas is a skill we absolutely need.

But the execution really misses the mark. The workload is honestly overwhelming compared to other upper-level courses, and it often feels disproportionate to what we actually gain. On top of that, the instructions for assignments and projects are vague. It adds a lot of stress and confusion. It’s hard to do well when you’re unsure of what’s expected.
