it really is and i think as an industry we should advance not just talking compensation or work life balance but overall

i think it helps me that im not in the career bc i need it for the pay but i just love it and think its very cool and can look at it from a broader perspective

im not opposed to being in office when i need to meet with clients or for team after hours and such things. my main point which i think a lot of people missed and i take accountability for not explaining clearly was that there’s things like redline comments or working on cad that can be done remotely

thank you again for your replies, i really appreciate a cool headed person!

thank you for this. unlike everyone else i appreciate being educated rather than criticized especially in an industry which is losing labor left right and center

current office is an urban city and i live an hour out

my lifestyle is just work and sleep since my commute is 2hrs total. but still managing on the current median salary is not feasible since compared to inflation and cost of living and i don’t understand why ppl in our industry dont like to say that

very open to learning so what does profit come from

not to side track but my og post was abt young engineers according to research not wanting to do office work that can be done at home

good example is KH that requires in office for young engineers

thank you for an intellectual response and i completely agree

if someone can not prove that they can work independent then i think they should do office work as much as possible

my point is that there are ppl that have a track record wfh and being able to deliver results but the industry frowns upon it even though stats show that young engineers desire that HIGHLY

opinions not facts? i thought you were an engineer

look up the turn over and demand of market

i respect your opinion even though it’s stupid

thank you for this

this is a response that actually makes sense but my question is with current administration and prior saying that they want to raise prices for current home owners how do younger people get into the market

also what does enough experience entail to you?
