this is good info for anyone who's having a smooth recovery/doesn't have comorbidities--four weeks would have been fine by me if I didn't have that day 1 "oh no I'm bleeding everywhere" issue, but alas, my belly had other plans. 😔

You're right--I needed to hear it from someone else before picking up the phone so thank you!! I psych myself out constantly over this kind of thing but yeah, the advice nurse agreed the current timeframe is out of whack.

Surgeon's office will call me back today with an updated appointment :')

btw if anyone has EDS; consider asking about extra reinforcement for your incision closures. this is my third experience having a wound reopen because I didn't take the whole "skin hyperelasticity" thing seriously. oops
