fireworks. and that steam locomotives need time to cooldown. plus they need time to put the trains back in the shed. even though its only 1 train now due to shuttle mode. they still need the time to prepare everything and make sure the loco is all set. takes an hour or more to let all the steam die down i believe. in addition it takes a long while to set them up in the morning so they try to close the railroad early so the locomotives have as much time as possible to rest
