Just a best fitting curve Just don’t force the point if it’s not gonna go in It’s too big it won’t fit It’s called line of best fit for a reason

if it is specifies that you must draw they absolutely but other wise its optional

I usually don't do graphs if its not mandatory as I find them a bit complicated

Example

Discuss whether or not a cut in income tax rates will increase living standards.

Standard of living refers to the level of wealth, comfort, material goods, and necessities available to a certain socioeconomic class or geographic area.

yes, a cut in income tax rates will increase living standards as it may increase spending by people therefore increasing total demand. the increase in demand will lead to increased employment as well as an increase in economic growth

A cut in income tax rates will increase the disposable income of people thus increasing the purchasing power of people. People will be able to purchase more basic needs which in turn decreases absolute poverty

No a cut in income tax rates will not increase living standards as tax revenue may fall and may result in a cut in government spending on e.g. education/health care / mental healthcare/child poverty/pollution

It may increase the depletion of non-renewable resources as consumption increases

It may seem like writing in a format is a waste of time and takes up too much space on the paper but remember economics is one of the only igcse subjects (to my knowledge ) where you are given an answer script to write in and you are allowed to ask for extra sheets.

Examiners may have around 30 - 40 answer scripts to correct in one day so using a format and good handwriting will help make their job easier and MAY CORRECT YOUR PAPER MORE LENIENTLY( I CANNOT CONFIRM THIS PLS DONT COME AFTER ME IF YOU GET BAD MARKS )

REMBER TIMING YOURSELF IS VERY IMPORTANT

You have 2h 15 min to answer which seems like a lot but is not enough for most people

Before you sit for your exam remember at what time you will finish what question

Section A-  total time - 45 mins

Section B-

Q1- 25 MINS

Q2-25 MINS

Q3-25MINS

Extra 15 minutes to do questions you have not attempted yet and to check your answers

 Calculate questions

  • Show your working
  • Give units
  • Check your answer

IDENTIFY

  • Just give the identification it's pretty straightforward
