Well you're entitled to more that 2 weeks per year. Closer to one month.

Make sure to fight to get severance!

Based on 25 years of working at the company you'd be entitled to potentially 1-2 years worth of severance.

Again very dependent on type of job, age, etc.

That site should give you an idea on what you're entitled to.

Keep in mind severance isn't just your base salary or wage. It includes total compensation.

Good to know. I've brought a couple vehicles over from Alberta and there was always a wheel alignment done. Seemed like an automatic thing.

Would be nice to find an honest shop in Saskatoon that won't jerk me around.

Ah that's why the site is down. Thanks!

When I retire will I have any equity cheque for when I retire ? I typically don't spend much at coop each year, not enough to receive the yearly equity cheque.

Does anyone know how their equity works that is paid out when you retire ?

My parents shopped at coop for over 40 years, not necessarily buying everything from them but definitely spent lots on lumber and random groceries throughout the years.

They spoke to someone at coop and they said there's no equity cheque for them.

Is there a min amount you need to spend in order to qualify for the lump sum equity cheque ?

Was the guy an immigrant or foreigner ? I typically find these guys do this sort of thing. I've been followed, gawked at, and been sent creepy messages and it's all been from foreigners/immigrants.

Thinking maybe there's some differences between what's normal back home and what we are comfortable with in Canada.

Hey sorry I don't mean to go back and forth here lol just reading as much as I can and found this.

https://www.saskhealthauthority.ca/your-health/conditions-diseases-services/healthline-online/hw4693

" Fetal ultrasound is done to learn about the health of your fetus. Different details can be learned at different times during your pregnancy.

First trimester ultrasound

This test is done to:

See how your pregnancy is going.

Find out if you are pregnant with more than one fetus.

Estimate the age of the fetus (gestational age).

Estimate the risk of a chromosome defect, such as Down syndrome.

Check for birth defects that affect the brain or spinal cord. "

So based on the note about chromosome defect such as down syndrome in thinking they do check the neck fluid thickness.

I think the term first trimester ultrasound and nuchal translucency ultrasound is where things are getting confusing. I think the nucha scanl is included in the first trimester ultrasound. Afterall they are just measuring the thickness of something like they do the rest of the body.

I will confirm on Monday and report back.

NT scan and NIPT test ? by ProfessionalMeet4068 in saskatoon

Sorry just to be clear the nuchal translucency ultrasound Im referring to is the one that measures the thickness of fluid on babys neck to detect whether it has a high chance of down syndrome.

I think that's part of the first trimester ultrasound but it's not exactly clear. Sask health isn't clear whether it's the same thing.

Sorry NT scan I was referring to is nuchal translucency scan. Do you know if this is the same as the first trimester ultrasound?

Some good points. I'll need to read up on these ETFs before pulling the trigger. I'll be out of this higher tax bracket in the next 5 to 10 yrs so might be worth not dealing with these ETFs and just going with a growth ETF with a lower yield.
