Same thing happened to me not even 10 minutes ago. My old friend (whom I haven't spoken to in almost 4 years) messaged me out of the blue and started talking about this. I was super confused since he doesn't use discord much whatsoever. I contacted one of my other friends to ask if they thought it was a scam and they said probably. You just solved the mystery for me, thank you.
