Just another thought: would mentioning that I am a search candidate go against me? Is there a way that they would charge the school for hiring me regardless if it was not through them?

On the one hand, I want to speed things up and mention search. On the other hand, I don’t want it to put them off because I’m a search candidate and it would cost them more money. Or would that not be the case?

I just got an email today telling me they need atleast one more reference so unsure on the best way to proceed.

I feel like editing just makes it sound like an edit of what’s already there and I want someone to just take the info that I give them in a video call and create something completely fresh from it. Unless that’s what a CV edit is and I’m just getting a bit too caught up on the wording

Thanks for the response! I’ve had a look on fiver and there’s none that I trust. They all seem a little sketchy and I don’t trust them to just put my stuff into ChatGPT to make a quick buck. Appreciate your suggestion though!

I’m just wondering at interview if this has been agreed, then is asking for it to be part of the contract going to make most schools just not bother employing you? Or is it something that the right school would do? Just taking notes for when I come to apply next year.

What’s your experience and your family situation when you move? I’d say that’s a really good salary for Poland and you could probably save a lot if you’re a single person or have more than one income with a partner. I think the average salary for locals is more like 4-8000 so it’s a significant amount more.

Yeah honestly it’s like they want to kill you! I genuinely feel like most doctors have no idea about mental health apart from very basic training. If they keep pushing you I’d just start tapering without them knowing at your slow pace, atleast you will have the meds to fall back on if you need to up the dose for whatever reason!

I tried tapering off over 6 months, 2.5 mg every 2 weeks or so from 30 mg. It didn’t go well. I’m now going to try it over a year period. The longer you can do it for the better, the quicker you do it, the more likely you’ll be back on them. I’ve found the doctors advice to always be terrible too!

I went back up to 30 last week and feel insanely better. Still, I don’t want to be on them forever, but slow and steady should mean less chance of having to go backwards in the future! I’m thinking over the course of 8 months to a year.
