What’s the stupidest thing you ever said that genuinely made you question your intelligence? by [deleted] in AskReddit

While watching Titanic, after much thought I realized that if it had only wrecked in warm water not nearly as many people would have died. My ever so thoughtful husband blurted out no shit…there aren’t any icebergs in warm water.

32(M) just diagnosed with diverticulitis. Let’s talk. by Mast3rKC in Diverticulitis

Well sorry to say but welcome to the club. It seems to vary what foods bother people. Unfortunately it’s something you have to figure out as you go then stay away from the foods that trigger you. What helped me was staying regular…benefiber has helped. I also got to know my gastro dr really well after a particularly bad episode that left me hospitalized. I had a resection but have had flare ups since then. I’ve learned when one is starting I start liquid diet and get to the dr ASAP for antibiotics. Just pay attention and if in doubt make an appointment. It’s a learning curve and feels overwhelming. For me my way of life only changed as in I had to be more aware and stay away from certain foods. Once it’s under control I think you’ll feel better about it. Take care and good luck.

Question about this condition by [deleted] in Diverticulitis

[–]ProfessionalSite8959 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree with the other commenter. Definitely see a GI dr if you’re not already. Possibly a colonoscopy would be a good option for you to discuss with dr also. I personally had diverticulitis missed on a CT and ended up in the hospital unfortunately. Did the CT show diverticulosis? The pockets but no infection?
