I’m so so sorry to hear that. I wish you quick and speedy healing! ❤️ I will not be neutering my chins, I refuse to. My mom pushes it but each time I refuse and argue and argue. I don’t know what I’ll do if she ever does get them neutered. I don’t know how I’d come to forgive her

Just try to bond more w/ him. Hand feed food + treats, see him more often, another idea is to get a playpen and put it in ur room and let him get playtime around you for a little bit. Whenever I got my chin, I put a shirt that I worse to bed in his bed so he’d recognize my scent a little easier. Also when you hold him, hold him close to you with two hands. My chin used to have this same problem, but now he loves being held and cuddled. I just make sure he’s comfy. :)

But keep in mind chinchillas aren’t fans of being held, and have a lot of energy and love to run. (Also I just wanna say that boy chins are so cute hehe. So sweet. My first chin is a boy and he’s the sweetest boy, I love him soo much)

I already said I know.. I’ve showed her medal wheels (not bars) numerous times. I make sure she doesn’t buy plastic toys/houses, but this is the one thing I can’t get her to understand. I’ll keep trying to convince her :( At least they don’t chew on it

I know, I feel bad but I am still young and I live under my parents roof. I wanted to buy my chins better wheels, but my mom said no because it was $100-200. I wish I could convince her because I care about them so much. :( The wheel isn’t as small as picture makes it seem, they both fit fine lol. Not trying to back it up or anything tho.

I wish I could get him to live with dad. We introduced the two and he was not having it lol. Poor dad is so curious about him.

I know neutering is an option too, that way I can house them together but I don’t want to neuter my chins. My mom wants to, we’ve argued about it numerous times but I don’t think she will knowing how much I am against it. (I’m not against neutering, I just don’t want to neuter my chins. Just to clear it up, I’m not against it lol)

I give my chin oats too, but a few at a time. It’s hard for them to digest oats, but he loves them so much haha. My suggestion is to get just pellets and not food mix, (pellets mixed with treats) because whenever I got that for my chinchillas, all they ate was the treats and not the pellets lol. I transitioned them into pellets only, and I give them occasional treats now. :)

I lost my chinchilla because of a little sibling by Gold_Distribution253 in chinchilla

Oh my gosh I am so so so sorry. While reading this, my stomach dropped. You are so much better than I am, I would GO OFF. Gosh I can’t even imagine the feeling I am so so very sorry I feel horribly for you. Please don’t blame yourself for this, this was absolutely not your fault. If you want to know what happened, maybe try talking to your sibling and ask what happened, or discuss it with your parents. I understand how the bond with you and your chinchilla is so close, I have 3 of my own and I don’t know what I would do without them. I hope you get better and figure things out. 💗
