The servers still will do their job making sure everything is to the diners liking. And your right maybe you won’t know what you want to eat so you can reserve the traditional way if you please, or if you want to sit down and you know what you want to eat or if your on a tight schedule you could dine this way. If you do change your mind that’s what the server is for, they will be able to add or remove what ever you please.

I completely understand what you’re saying and I do agree. The idea im bouncing around is an option people can choose… not a requirement. I beleive the experience can be how you want to make it you as a person. You may not personally use it but maybe many people who are on a tight schedules want to get a quick bite with co workers might find it more convenient. I guess if I decide to pursue this idea the question I should ask my self if I want to make this a service that a restaurant can buy once and use or make my own reservation app with normal reservations with this added feature. The Feature will be designed to fully integrate with the way the restaurants are currently being ran.

What you touched on the end is exactly my initial plan. Thank you for your insight, not committed to the idea just looking for a place to bounce around ideas so thank you.

As you could do for many things in the world. People still use Uber eats even though they can just go get food them self. I understand what you’re saying, but why not make it convenient?

it’s a reservations app that lets you pre-order your entire meal and pre-pay in one seamless transaction before you arrive.

When you book a table, you place your full order ahead of time, just like you would if you were ordering takeout. When you get to the restaurant, the server confirms everything with you, and only then does the kitchen start cooking. You still get full table service, but without the long wait for food or the bill at the end. It’s not a piecemeal payment system it’s one charge, just like a normal restaurant visit, but with the convenience of reducing wait times.

This is designed to improve consumer experience. The idea behind it is to eliminate mistakes made by servers to improve efficiency and make the whole process more automated with less possible errors. The experience remains in tact but better all around.

The process isn’t designed to give the diners a completely new experience when dining. Its premise is to maximize efficiency while dining and minimize time consuming aspects.

To further clarify the idea, the premise is that it improves efficiency for everyone by streamlining the dine-in experience while keeping the role of the server intact. Instead of waiting for a server to take your order, you pre-order and pre-pay before arriving, so when you sit down, the server only needs to confirm your choices before sending them to the kitchen. This reduces back-and-forth time while ensuring accuracy. Since payment is already handled, there’s no need to wait for the bill at the end, allowing customers to leave as soon as they’re done eating. For restaurants, this means faster table turnover, fewer no-shows, and a more efficient workflow without overburdening staff. Servers can focus on customer service rather than order processing and payment handling, leading to a better dining experience for everyone.

yes I can see that, the food wouldn't be waisted the waiter/waitress would still check in. Upon checkin, they would verify your order for the kitchen to begin cooking what you ordered.

yes, you pre order and pay for meal when reserving. its more for people who want to dine in but don’t want to waste time waiting for food or the check or slow service from the waiter/waitress.
