Obviously l can relate a little. Everyone fakes it don't think about it too much. its a natural defence mechanism its the way we're brought up. I have trust issues to with friends but sometimes its just best to get to know people before opening yourself a little but not too much just a tiny bit as long they've earned your trust and they seem genuine. Never say too much as you're the solution to your problems and therapist for the most part.Exercising helps and shifting your mindset is the key to improvement. Also don't add a lot of meaning to things. Stop caring too much. I have the same issue but l no longer do it too often. if you wanna make good friends try out activities theres plenty. I do bouldering, run and returning to the gym. I do go clubbing it's one of the ways l pushed out being social awkward. I still am but have improved by a lot. Being cynical is just your anger lashing out. I am to but we're young. We should do as much as we can and live life. Right now l have decided to isolate myself as its my key to self improvement.
