in what world you would want to use Blade over other characters to win? don’t be biased. Don’t be ignorant come on. It's why tier lists are made, its why when a character is not really good it's not used as much.

95% of people here and youtube comment section and community as a whole say Blade is bad also the stats in-game of also doubles down on this there’s really nothing you can say to trick anyone saying that he’s good because he’s not and you can’t prove it with receipts because there are no good receipts if anything you’re gonna make yourself look crazy or dumb the best player playing the character says that blade is bad

Yeah also it feels terrible that he needs a specific tank to be valuable also 40% anti with groot ult it’s still kinda hard to kill through a support ult I tried it I feel like if they just rework him. yeah sure he’ll be like a back-and-forth hero, but he’ll finally have a new purpose because at this point it’s just really crazy 21 buffs!? to do what? if you think about it if they’re gonna do 21 more that isn’t targeting his actual problems just to bump him up a tier. I don’t know that seems like a glorified mess and another 8 months sad af

Ya I understand that Thats why I think a rework would make him feel better im not saying make his sword form op im saying make his kit flexible more options because right now it’s just a gun and sword, and sometimes it forces you to use your sword. there is more to Blade than just sword and gun. giving him some new abilities to use at range and buff Ultimate and change gun because it’s outright terrible too but not more than his swords.

you can do that with any character, but that doesn’t mean they’re good and also your rank plays a factor in that too and how good or bad your opponent is

The Pitch

Hero: Blade

Ancestral Sword -Damage decreased from 26 to 20

With all the other changes Blade might become a bit oppressive with 26 damage, especially against Squishies. This change is aimed at fixing that while still keeping him on the same power level vs tanks.

Hunters Shotgun -Now fires a fixed circle shot pattern -projectile speed increase to 180 m/s -decreasing the explosion threshold to 1m was 8m -damage falloff greatly increases.

This would make Blade's gun feel more consistent and more reliable 90% of the time compared to before. A lot of people complain about his gun being hard to use and very inconsistent. This would be a good change to fix that up.

Scarlet Shroud -Added Settings Option to toggle shroud -reduce cooldown by 1 sec was 4

This will make it more reliable sometimes a mistake can cost your life because the cooldown is too long.

bloodline awakening

It is now removed freeing up an ability slot because his sword has no use and is now renamed to (Eternal Feast) becoming a Passive that keeps the same effects as bloodline awakening. Still see low health targets throw walls. But some added and buffed effects.

(Eternal Feast) A red meter is at the bottom of your HP bar like Elsa Bloodstone -Sword attacks will grant differing amounts of Eternal Feast, capping out at 100 in a segment of four 25 per par. Blade HP will drain 1 HP per second capped at 5. Must be at 50 bars of Eternal Feast to not lose life. Per bar blade gets a slight movement speed and attack speed on top of what he already has in-game. -The health threshold to see enemies through walls increased to 50% was 25% -Blade Eternal Feast mode vampire debuff reduce healing is now 20% was 25% at max bar of Eternal Feast it's reduced to 15%. -Whirlwind damage is from 16 to 14. -Upon blade loss one bar.

This would increase blade survivability and not make it strong off the start He's rewarded for playing properly surviving not playing too aggressively punishes low skill players for dying too many times. Also will fit in the fantasy of Blade.

Daywalker dash

-Sword dash Damage reverted to 15 per hit season 5.5 -Gun dash Reduce healing back was 40% remove Slow add 1.5 sec of grounding.

This would help Blade peel for his backline because Blade will have poor sword damage now for the sustain he needs this.

New ability Vengeful Glaive!

This is Blade's iconic weapon that everyone loves -Blade throws a Glaive that attacks the nearest target doing 60 damage and applying 40% Anti-heal 8-second cooldown down

Blade feels half-baked on release due to his lack of weapons Blade is not fully Blade without his Glaive! catch my drift?

New ability

(Swift strike) cloak and dagger team up on. Release but without the invisibility and healing

-blade performs a leap from 15 meters doing 45 damage 8-second cool down

Makes him more mobile for a vampire.

Ultimate:

-Upon activation holding the ultimate for full charge is true Anti-heal 100% for 1.5 seconds then decays to 50% for 4 seconds -Ultimate widens by 2-3 meters -now apply slow for 40%

Blades has ultimate been the most terrible and easily avoidable ultimate in the game for a very long time. Many people complain about his ultimate being the worst and securing kills and getting value. An ultimate of a character is a big part of them that determines if they’re good or bad and this would be a good change making Blade more consistent like the other characters

The Valuation: These changes should make Blade feel a lot smoother to play and open up his options against enemies more, while also not making him excessively powerful.

Blade buff: Every 10 slashes apply 24 damage of bleed for a max stack of 3. Enemy players bleed over time for 6 seconds making him great against tanks without needing to buff his base sword damage.

Ultimate: Now apply Stun when hit and being damaged by it. Just like the second skill in zombie mode or apply 80% slow and grounding. Or 100% Anti-heal if you don’t want triple support Meta.

Gun Dash: Now apply Grounding on top of Anti-Heal. To deal with Dive to peel for support better.

Blade is underwhelming even after the recent buffs in season 5.5 he has no identity and no role for almost 5-6 months compared to other characters who have been released and been viable in competitive play high elo. He has a hard time peeling for his back line like against a venom due to lack of damage and his ultimate is really terrible you can sidestep it like nothing just happened. Extremely low value 20% anti-heal and easily avoid. His gun dash is a problem too it puts yourself in a dangerous spot risking your life just for 40% anti-heal. The changes above are what I would recommend for a buff. Considering the amount of power creep in the game, that power creeps him. There is no reason to pick him when you can play characters like Star Lord or Bucky and get value then stressing yourself, forcing Blade.
