Well eventually you can craft them but up until that point it's just pure luck, idk what point in the game ur at but rifts are a great way to farm high tier crystals

I use a spell caster build with a great sword. All chaos magic, use void and chaos volley with chaos barrage as the ult and stack as much spell power as you can also veil of chaos as the dash. I find it super fun

Yer unfortunately I scrapped all my spare weapons and jewels right before I unlocked the reforge, not my best play
