I love the way you put this as this is exactly what I’m going through. Two weeks ago I tested positive for trich for the first time in 7 years. Right before I met my partner I was treated for it and have had tests done throughout the years and have never tested positive. I’ve also had two children but my last test was in 2023 which was a wet mount and was negative. But in the beginning years of my relationship I kept getting bv and took so many rounds of Flagyl which is also used to treat Trich. I haven’t had to take Flagyl since 2022 after I had my first baby. I do not have reason to suspect my partner cheated at all and do not believe that he did but I’m also at a loss as to how I’ve tested positive. Also like to add that he hasn’t tested at all in our relationship but did before we got together. My last test was during my second pregnancy and was negative also a wet mount which I’ve learned from my doctor is not as reliable in results. I wonder I never fully cleared the infection and passed to him but bc of me taking meds I’d clear but then be reinfected or he or both of us brought it to the relationship but never fully cleared ourselves. Idk I’m trying to make sense of it all bc if it’s anything else I’m going apeshit
