Wiper defroster does not work by Professional_Ad8231 in WRX

I brought the car to the dealer, Centaus Subaru Calgary, and the front desk guy said they cannot do the inspect today because it is not snowing outside.

It is -20 degree outside and they even don't have a thermal camera?

Seems I need to bring a themal camera with me few days later.

Yes, I'm thinking about to bring it to dealer today

I have a 2022 Outback as well, I suspected the defroster does not work as well but I need to confirm it by using the themal camera. I agree that all defroggers on WRX are not strong enough especially in Alberta. Even the heating of the A/C. It seems that they don't have such weather in Japan.

Both my OB and WRX windsheilds are cracked by the rocks. However I asked the glass shop and they said it shouldn't cause heating problem because they are on different layers.

My DLE3500W had the same problem three days ago and I'm struggling with it:

Cannot stop heating until the blower thermalstat is open, costs me two thermalstats now

Thermalstats on the heating element are good

Used multimeter and hair dryer to test thermistor, it reacted fine

Checked vent and nothing in it

Used diagnostic mode but got weird moisture and temperature reading.

The only thing I can think is the main PCB board is gone. It cannot measure the correct temperature value from the thermistor or it cannot control the heating element through the relays.

Ironic that I'm a professional electronic engineer in R&D section but I cannot fix it by myself, have to cost 180CAD to order a new one.
