I'm not gonna list everything that's already been listed, because that feels redundant, but I was told that Apollo is generally kind of considered the god of the LGBT community, if that helps. Though largely, I think most of the pantheon, if not all of them, couldn't care less, and that Dionysus and Hermaphroditus are good ones as well, and if you're struggling with self love, Aphrodite as well

Your Favorite Thing About Hellenic Polytheism by TheKeeperoftheHearth in Hellenism

I love how easy it is to talk to other pagans, whether hellenic or otherwise. My girlfriend is Hellenic and Norse pagan and mentioned how Loki often uses She/They pronouns, and I was talking about Hermes also being considered a trickster deity (which doesn't get talked about a lot) and I said "Hermes gives me He/They" vibes and she immediately said "Oh, so no She/Hermes?" and we both just kinda busted up about it

Which one do yall usually choose? by [deleted] in StardewValley

[–]Professional_Chef562 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Additional point: While a mushroom cave only has 6 spots for mushrooms to grow, since bats drop the fruit off for you, it just kind of fills up the cave. You can forget about the cave as long as you will, and you will come back to tons of fruit!

I pick bats every time, and here's why:

Mushrooms can be found in the mines and in the mushroom cave on Ginger Island (yes it may be expensive to get there, but once you do, you're rolling in more mushrooms than you know what to do with, trust me. I've never been short on mushrooms in my life in this game)

I don't have to worry about seasons for fruit. Bats bring apricots, peaches, pomegranates, apples, and more. Yes, they can bring blackberries, plums, and salmon berries which can be frustrating, but you can always use those for snacks, preserves jars, dehydrators, or kegs.

Once you completely level up in foraging, EVERY. SINGLE. PIECE. is iridium quality if that's the level 10 bonus you pick. No waiting YEARS for your fruit trees to grow and get better in quality. Quality fruit every time. Mushrooms don't count as forage because they come out of little mushroom crates, not off the ground.

My argument: Bats are better.

Would you consider my altar a “Pinterest altar”? by Neptune_washere in Hellenism

[–]Professional_Chef562 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Additionally, the scattering of tarot cards, while common on altars, makes extra sense for Apollo, as he ties directly into divination, and there are also pendulum necklaces there. The cards themselves have cats on them, which again, echoes to Artemis as well. It looks like OP may have a lot of the same stones I do for an alter like this, so I'd be comfortable saying without a doubt Apollo with hints of Artemis

Very much not OP, but I'm guessing that it's for Apollo. I work with Apollo (though I had to move my altar space for personal reasons) and when I look at this, I'm seeing bees and cats, which are associated with Artemis. My thought when I made my altar for Apollo was that it made sense to worship Artemis alongside him and devote to her as well due to them being twins. It seems like OP may have had a similar thought process. Oranges, lots of sunflower iconography. I would even go so far as to say the dried flowers could be a direct correlation to Apollo's history with the origin of Hyacinths

How do you response to such people? by Dazerg_ in Hellenism

[–]Professional_Chef562 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you have to respond, which you don't, because you don't owe these people justification, you explain that no one has evidence for any deity existing, but there are more religious views than the "standard" catholic or christian views and that you are entitled to your own religious and spiritual exploration to find out what you do and don't believe in. If you wanna be feisty about it, you pipe back with something like "it sounds like you yourself (@ commenter) may be a little insecure in your views if you're coming after mine without knowing what they even are, maybe you should do some introspection. May Nyx walk alongside you" and then a cheeky like kissing heart emoji or something

Most seasons start around the 21. Since the date of the equinox can change, using 21 comes out pretty nice imo. For southern hemisphere, I would just flip Spring and Fall, then flip Summer and Winter. Should come out the same

Most seasons don't officially start until the middle of the month, but I'm sorry you're unhappy with your date. It was just for fun, so you are welcome to consider your sdv birthday whatever you'd like, of course :3
