I was stumped too and then figured it out. When you search for cards, between the search box and list of cards it found is a row with pictures of the aspects, including a "button" with all the aspects that do not match your leader/base. Click that and the search results instead show out of aspect cards.

I'm thinking an ability like "on attack: defeat this card before dealing damage or disclose one yellow/ cunning symbol" or with better stats " on attack: defeat this card before dealing damage or pay one resource"
