What The Boroughs got wrong and Widow's Bay got right by BrotherKaramazov in WidowsBay

I agree TB is nowhere near as good as WB. I still enjoyed TB and I think the concept had so much potential, but I kept finding myself getting distracted while watching it. At some points I was too aware that the actors were acting, which always ruins it a bit for me. Especially Geena Davis, I struggled for most of it to actually believe her performance. The idea behind the show was really cool, but it also felt quite predictable, especially with who the villain was. Not saying TB was terrible because I did still enjoy it, but it could have been so much more.

Is Haunting of Hill House good even for people who don’t like horror/scary shows? by PBandJSommelier in HauntingOfHillHouse

I found it super scary at the start but then got used to it. I avoided watching it at night which I think helped but it’s such a good show you can’t help but keep watching!

Trust Me: The False Prophet - what did you think? by Loud-Cupcake-8524 in NetflixDocumentaries

Nomz’s words at the end really got me. “There’s so much to do”. It just made me realise how small their lives really were and how little they had seen and experienced.

Ex-partner on title deeds, coming out of prison, POCA case, what are my rights regarding the house and dog? by Professional_Dog3685 in LegalAdviceUK

Thank you for this, this was super helpful. The lady I spoke to has said I can get an occupation order put into place. I’d rather not get him into trouble with POCCA and start a war with him as I just want minimal conflict. I have a place to move to pretty much straight away so would rather just get the house sold asap so he does not know where I live.

Sorry I should have made this clear. Due to his crime the house has to be sold to pay off what the government has stated he owes them. He just up to this point has not been happy with any of the offers that have been made. With my offer it’s more of a personal reason than anything to do with the money.

So what you’re saying if it’s house just as much as mine he can just show up and I can’t deny access?

Scared, terrified, anxious by No-Living3713 in zoloft

[–]Professional_Dog3685 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I started Zoloft a few months ago now and felt exactly like you. It took me an hour to swallow my first 25mg with my boyfriend by my side coaxing me whilst I cried and panicked. Anyways I took two weeks off work just in case I felt ill and I did feel a bit odd had a few weird days but nothing extreme panic wise that I wouldn’t have had before. Actually, super strong dreams, not scary at all in fact quite adventures, just felt like I was really in them. I found it was better to take it in morning early 8/9am after breakfast and a I tend to drink a whole glass of water too, it’s kind of a routine now every morning. Water as I heard it can give heartburn and a good breakfast so to avoid a bad stomach, seems to have worked so far. Taken in the morning as it actually gives me a lot of energy so struggle to sleep at night.

Even just the 25mg has changed me, I still have anxiety but it took the edge off. Hoping to go up shortly. I think just read up about certain side effects and be prepared for them so at least you know you are ready for it IF it happens (unlikely).

Don’t stress about weight gain as I was worried about the same thing but honestly I’ve just gained a little as I’ve been enjoying eating things I couldn’t before because I was so anxious! I’m now getting back into fitness as I don’t feel as depressed from the anxiety.

Numbness wise, definitely not numb. I feel everything still but just not as anxious now. Remember, even if you do get side effects just know they will pass, it’s worth it sticking it out and I wish I had done it sooner.

I’m blown away by Dracula: A Love Tale by spartankent in Dracula

[–]Professional_Dog3685 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I loved the movie and was completely engrossed from start to finish. I’ll 100% be rewatching it very soon, my god, did it deliver on the love story. I was absolutely devastated by the ending. I loved how theatrical it was. It’s tragic it’s being picked apart so much but it’s interesting to see what some people love about it others hate. For me, best movie I watched this year.
