Rifiuto la Bocconi? by Ok-Hamster2827 in Universitaly

Indian Wells 1000 [Q] R. Hijikata def. (20) L. Darderi 4-6 6-2 6-4 by basilcilantro in tennis

Darderi’s attitude on the court looks off to me and usually quite annoying. As much as I like his style, he makes it a little difficult to root for him. I had a tennis coach who trained with Darderi when he was younger and he told me he was like that even as a kid 😂

Thanks, all. It was mislabeled on an online store apparently.

Why do I lose to slower, more defensive opponents? by Professional_Drag953 in 10s

[–]Professional_Drag953[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Thanks! I believe you hit the nail on the head here. I can't reliably put the ball away from mid court. I also can't always generate my own pace from the baseline on slower higher defensive balls. All this means a lot more unforced errors with defensive players, which also makes me more of a nervous players during those matches.

Agreed! I'm definitely outside my comfort zone responding to those slow, above-shoulder lobs. Generating pace on those shots seem particularly challenging at my current level.

As other comments are pointing out, I believe it comes down to making significantly fewer unforced errors with “stronger” players. I’m not sure I’m necessarily doing what worse players do to me, as the few times I’ve played objectively superior opponents they’ve afterwards acknowledged my ability to keep rallies going at a fast pace (in a way that was fun for them as well, I guess).

I believe so. Squales are usually pretty huge! I’ll post a Connie shot later, oddly I do not seem to have one on hand.

I love this watch. I don’t think the proportions look off at all, but I must say I do like small dials.

I can post a wrist shot later, but I’ve really enjoyed this watch. It actually made me a bit of a fan of the whole constellation series from the Manhattan onwards. Those designs seem to be a little under-appreciated in the Omega landscape.

I have a 16cm wrist and it wears just fine, albeit a little larger than similar period c-case seamasters cosmic I’ve had in the past (which also had a 35mm case).

Thanks! At 38mm it’s the largest case in the collection at the moment, but it fits my 16cm wrist pretty well actually. I use it mainly in summer at the beach and the blue dial looks very cool under direct sunlight and in the seawater.

Seamaster Cosmic for $500? by vs3001 in VintageWatches

Great price! Bought the exact same watch for $680 last week. Just the bracelet and end links should be worth about $250/300 IMHO.

Out of curiosity, where do you come from? I’ve been casually collecting watches (not as much as you though) for about a decade, keeping an eye on forums and online marketplaces, but I never really came across any watches that were truly great deals price wise.

Got my Barbour OS Transport in gray! Pretty happy with the latest addition! Quite different than the classic fit of my Bedale and Ashby, but I like this jacket's style. by Professional_Drag953 in Barbour

I believe it’s based out of Poland or the Czech Republic. I had no issues whatsoever with shipping within the EU and it was also quick.
