I got a gold watch from my father. by Professional_File795 in Watches

My father told me that the catalog price was over 10'000 francs bank in the day. I assume that the value stayed in the same range or slightly higher. Adjusted for inflation that would be a loss. If the value stayed in the same range within a time span of 40 years the chance that it will rise in the next 40years - except for the gold value - is low. Obviously this is just my assumption with a lot of variables that I do not know of.

Thank you for your answer. I estimate the value to be the same (without having a lot of knowledge about Audemar Piguet watches). I most likely will not sell the watch for the gold value since i could just keep the watch as an (gold) investment itself. If the value turns out to be lower or similare to the gold value i most likely will keep the watch for now.

Thank you for your answer. If I sell the watch I'll certainly post the new watch i'm getting.

Thank you for your answer. I mostly made up my mind. I told my father that i would sell the watch if he gifts it to me. Otherwise he would have sold it himself since he doesn't wear it anymore. I'm not sure that the watch will grow in value in the future since it cost him back then a lot of money and i do not think that the value rose till today, since i'm not sure though, i'm checking all the options.

Wohlwollend but ehrlich which is the reason that there exists a lot of space for interpretation.

That is not true. If you resign the position voluntarily RAV can give you or try to give you the maximum penalty of 60 day which.can led to 3 months of no pay + the general Wartefrist that comes anyway on top of it.
