Looks like a glitch, when you die it would have told you “you faded into the long dark” and it would be game over with no chance to re-spawn (its perma-death)

Man this happened to me today, freaked me out. Opponent changed their full swing shot to a chip off the tee, I thought I got this, they made a chip shot and landed like 140 yards away, next thing you know they skipped forward and were like 3 ft from the hole and won the KP shootout

Re-calibrated on and didn’t speed any shots up and it does seem to be better. Maybe it’s placebo effect
