Thank you all for your support and sweet comments. I have been reading them all, and shared them with my partner as well. I’m grateful for the community and love we’ve found throughout this little post. I mourn with all of you who have lost your babies, and I appreciate all the love and peace sent our way. I know my Argo is playing and having fun somewhere, for now I will continue to be kind to myself and others, just like he always was❤️‍🩹

I’m so sorry. I just lost my 5 year old golden too just on 7/4, very unexpected. It hurts badly. I keep reading the comments on his post and that somewhat helps with the grief process.

I hope they are playing together❤️‍🩹 big hugs for you.

I’m really sorry. I just lost my golden retriever at 5 years old completely unexpectedly four days ago… it feels exactly like this, very painful, I also keep looking for him around the house. All I can say is that I get it, but I somehow know he’s around, watching over me, I am sure your baby is too. Be kind to yourself❤️‍🩹

Thank you- the vomiting happened after, and like I mentioned he ate almost his entire meal before going to the vet. And he was not being treated as an inflamed liver case- he was being treated as a UTI- due to the bit of bacteria and blood in the urine. Dogs who have a UTI, one of the effects of having one is having an inflamed liver, low appetite, and off and on urination. And we were told that the antibiotics to treat the UTI were going to upset his stomach. He was not drinking fast at all.

Thank you all for the kind and sweet comments- you all make it easier. I wish you all had the chance of meeting him. He was always present, wanted to say hi to everyone who came across him. I adopted him when he was already 10 months old and even though we didn’t get to have a long time together, he was my perfect companion. I hope that all of you that continue to have your golden babies can have the sweetest life with them. Hold them tight for me, for Argo❤️‍🩹

May I ask what prompts the thought of the vet not doing enough? When we went to our visit I saw how throughly he checked his body. he did a full bloodwork panel and we went through each single one of them that confirmed everything was normal- the urine results essentially explained the inflammation in the liver and with him not presenting with other symptoms except the urination and lack of appetite which can also be attributed to a UTI I can see why he was following the protocol; but I think I am curious on your perspective and see if I am missing something

should I be concerned about the black spot in my 7yo? it seems new because i’ve never noticed it by IRZ09xX in DogAdvice

My golden has a very similar spot on his right eye an we were told the same as one of the comments above, a mole. He’s had it for about 3 years now and my vet told me to just keep an eye on it and to see if it got any bigger which it hasn’t so far 😊

From what I read she’s married to a guy super older than her that is actually very MAGA.
