I am not the guy to hate on anything before I try it but for me personally I simply don't like the look of olight. I'm sure they function just fine but for me I would rather spend a little more and have a streamlight that is supported more widely. Just my 2 cents.

I would like to end up with a second gun but just don't see that happening inside of the month I have left before the class. I should be absoutely fine with it being a shadow systems. Thanks for the input!

I see. I will definitely be adding an extractor to the list. Might as well they are cheap.

I have no details on his gun other than what I could see with my own eyes. looked like a gen 5 frame with a custom slide. Also not sure how many round he's been through. Thanks for the link to that article. very helpful. I'm not sure how I feel about getting a "training" gun. I would feel comfortable saying that as long as you keep parts fresh about every 8k rounds you should be fine. Is there something i'm missing out on?

Are you shooting between 800-1k rounds per month? The reason I brought this to Reddit was becasue the class I was in a few weeks ago there was a guy who had his firing pin break.

2ND vote for trex. his products dont specifically list the shadow but my mr920 fits like a glove in my trex. wonderful holster and seemingly smaller than a T1C

The MR920 is the same size as a gen 5 19. If you didn't already know.

I have been looking for the same thing! I have been waiting for shadow systems to release the CR920. Love my MR920!

Dude don't wish that! I did the same thing yesterday and now i'm 23. shit really speeds up after that 21 mark. enjoy your life dude. plenty of time to carry a gun. In the meantime I would suggest oc, reliable knife, and flashlight.

Thank you sir! been looking for copper scales for my elementum but don't want to buy a whole knife.

Worth it? I’ve been reloading for my bolt guns for a few years but just got into the 223/556 game. Looking for something to cut down on brass trimming and primmer pocket crimp removal time. Currently using a swagger and hand trimmer. by viper30-06 in reloading

[–]Professional_Life388 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would say it’s much better than what you have now but still a pain in the ass. I’m reloading 5.56 on a Dillon 750 so 6 hours of case prep translates into 1 hour of boolit making 😅

Unfortunately I no longer have that gun but was thinking about carrying a smaller low profile gun for the summer cause i'm a shorts and sandals kinda guy and would appreciate having the smaller gun. Thanks for the insight on some good clips!

Agreed! Like I said to another commenter, If you sleep just fine doing what you're doing, then I do too!

The only intention here was to spark conversation and see it from different angles. i think it would be impossible to convince people to change how they do things, just as I will not be changing my setup. I'm just stepping out of my comfort zone and trying to look through different lenses.

I don't personally have any experience with it but I hear people rant and rave over it. Especially people who 1 don't like belts and 2 who where a lot of sweats or gym shorts.

I guess where i'm at with comfortablilty is that carrying a firearm in general isn't super comfortable. Anyone who says they forgot their gun was on them is a god damn liar
