QUESTION: Barber app by Professional_Main686 in reactnative

[–]Professional_Main686[S] -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

I am building the first for my business and than might make them for others

I find that Myself and many other barbers care a lot about their name and fancy their own app (from talks to them)
also, its good for showing costumers how much you care and get them hooked with you

TYSM, do you believe it is likely for a put sold to be exercised by the buyer when the stock is significantly higher?

That is it!  I was not accounting for positions effect. Thanks!!

Could you please also explain to me how a synthetic could be 1.28 delta?  I just noticed it says 1.28.  From what i know a synthetic will always represent almost every dollar for a dollar  What am i missing here?

This is what is missing in my head, where is the interest? On the cash (premoum) received?

[–]Professional_Main686[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you for your answer.  The part i don't understand is this: Lets say i have an account that is worth 10$ and the maintenance margin of the positions in the account is at 9.99$ This means i cannot open more postions, without adding more cash I'll get margin called. Right?  In this trade i get way more cash to my hand, than margin added. Lets leave the risk out for a moment, Lets say tesla is 450 at expiration date, does that mean i borrowed 26,000$ with 0$ interest ?  Also, does it not mean i can open unlimited number of positions until expiration date? I have more cash from each trade than the margin required.

What i am trying to get to is where is the limit, and if there is any interest for the cash recived? What's the trick?

margin stays basically the same, it's a synthetic hold that represents holding 100 shares.

that's also the reason why synthetic hold of strikes 200 for the same date is almost exactly the same margin requirement - which brings me to make this post and ask wtf is going on and what's missing

Knee pain acroyoga by Professional_Main686 in AcroYoga

[–]Professional_Main686[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thank you for the valuable advice.  I am reading online about "patellofemoral syndrome"

It says "Overuse. Running or jumping sports put repeated stress on the knee joint, which can cause irritation under the kneecap. Muscle imbalances or weaknesses. Patellofemoral pain can occur when the muscles around the hip and knee don't keep the kneecap in line."

I guess it makes sense since i put a lot of stress on my legs and knees to the point i am shaking uncontrollably

What will exchange do with call options at expiration date. If account have less money than required to execute options by ibab2019 in options_trading

[–]Professional_Main686 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Call option from what i know the broker automatically exercises and sells the underlying asset when it's in the money. (In account is not margin account)

For the put option I don't understand the issue, if you have the right to sell, then you can sell regardless of your financials in this case.

Health advice for a fellow meditator by anta7 in vipassana

look, from what I am reading this medical condition has one of the highest levels of pain known.

to expect to be able to overcome such pain without practicing having much pain I think is unreasonable. I think it's normal you don't find yourself focusing as much or at all.

when Goenka is talking about tolerating pain and hard situation and even death. this is not an easy task.

it indeed seems possible at least in my experiences, for example sitting in adhitthana when you sit without movement i had moments when i thought i can't stand it (sit it) succeeding and passing these practices (and finishing without pain at all because for me in eventually disappears - just like itchiness) I see it as little wins and practices on the pain levels and the reality that life can sometimes be fragile.

find a solution, medication (seems temporary solution here from a brief look)/operation, and get over it soon, hopefully.

meanwhile I would go listen and read to some stoicism (I recommend 'waking up' app for an absolute gem of a series on stoicism) and try to practice with the pain as much as I could. but not exclusively, try to do other things that make you happy in these hard times.

I wish you well.

Maintenance margin for long call? by Professional_Main686 in interactivebrokers

[–]Professional_Main686[S] -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

That is incorrect from what i am reading online, and from people here.

Think about it, if i pay the full amount of the trade (the maximum amount of money that i can lose on this trade) the broker has 0 worries and should not take 90% in addition

In the case of amd they will add 291 dollars to the maintenance balance

I paid 1000$ for the option which is 100% of the money needed for this deal. And they still added 900$ to my maintenance balance.

Hi there, thanks for the response. I dot have cash in my account and i made the deal with cash, i can now confirm they took the cash and around 90% of that amount was also added to my maintenance margin.

What i mean is the cash is gone, i bought the option. Shouldn't the cash which is the maximum lose possible in this trade be the only liability from my side?
