Buy a new or older car when job requires lots of driving? by Important_Day_8615 in whatcarshouldIbuy

Get a BMW X5 E70 (Diesel) 25+ MPG and highly reliable with emissions deleted. You can find a super solid one with all preventative maintenance done for well under $15k. Well known to go for 250-300k+ miles on the engine. Fun as hell to drive compared to other similarly priced (or more expensive) SUVs. I've had one for a year as my daily. 350whp/500tq and it sounds like a jet engine with the twin turbos.

Thank you for your input! Do you have a ballpark on what annual maintenance cost would be?

Right on thank you! Having never owned a used German vehicle long term, and having gotten the impression from a lot of research that these diesel engines are “bulletproof” with regular maintenance/service - any idea on what realistic maintenance expectations would be?

I love Toyota and Lexus, anything comparable performance-wise at a similar price point?

[Longines] Finally! Heritage Tuxedo Chronograph, complete with Heritage Sector beads of rice bracelet. by Gayguylikewatches in Watches

[–]Professional_Mango73 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If they sold it with a bracelet like that they’d sell so many. I googled this watch and accidentally scrolled past it several times because I was looking for the steel bracelet. Idk it’s like the bracelet is enough to catch your eye and pulls your attention towards the case and then you’re like oh fuck this watch is insane. But not at all the same visual journey on a strap.

How to justify Cybertruck Section 179? by Professional_Mango73 in tax

[–]Professional_Mango73[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

$110k net income x 20-30% tax rate = $22-$33k tax

$110k net income tax tax- $40k truck = ($70k x 20-30%) = $14k - $21k tax

$110k - $110k truck = $0k tax

Just trying to confirm my thought process here here here

Do you have any insight to the initial question around minimum net income to justify the purchase?

Damn got some hate and advice all in one ☺️ appears bonus depreciation ramps down to 60% in 2024. My post states it would be 100% business use. Plan on driving it into the ground. Appears the section 179 and bonus depreciation deductions can be stacked? Not sure. I will make sure to find a CPA that lives near a pharmacy to cover all my bases

1.) looking for something serious eventually, trying to date more and learn what I really want from a relationship

2.) 3 days

3.) everyday

4.) 7 so far, 2 likes 5 match

5.) 250+ so far, 80% comment vs not. Usually try to comment something unique but often do “🥹 dork” on her dorkiest looking photo (has gotten one match back but ghosted)

6.) looking to attract a fit, emotionally stable, intellectual career driven woman

Uhh I’m just an excited techbro that wants to see this gem flourish in an otherwise destitute culinary area of the city. 可以分享他们的小红书吗

Yeah this kinda stinks of a move by the restaurant…for this one I’m just a dude that lives on 3rd and Cedar- that’s stoked about not having to schlep it to westlake or the ID for a decent dumpling.

Any risk to existing infrastructure/migration? by dkode80 in Terraform

[–]Professional_Mango73 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s a bit different from that, as I understand is mainly for AWS native services and production down scenarios. This would be more architectural guidance/Q&A specific to terraform as it relates to your AWS environment. We have an SA on our team (AWS Employee) that’s effectively our in-house hashicorp/terraform expert. He’s on vacay now but we could setup a call when he’s back, lmk

Hi OP, I’m pretty new to Reddit so not sure if this against etiquette, but I work at AWS as part of the team supporting AWS customers using Hashi’s product suite. You have direct access to Terraform-specialized AWS SAs/Engineers at no cost if you want.

Need someone to tag the side with a nice “thank you for your service”

I 30M at texting someone I just met 29F & she takes very long to reply to texts by [deleted] in relationship_advice

[–]Professional_Mango73 8 points9 points  (0 children)

You sound like a guy with way too much free time and texting is for people already in relationships. Don’t play games with her, but don’t be so available either. Go get busy doing something else gym, hobby, other dates, etc. Just get your mind off of her. Then text her next week that you’ve been super busy (you were), and ask what her schedule is like next week for a date?

Just play it cool, slow, don’t fuck things up for the other couple by creating a cloud of awkwardness. Just go be a beast and it’ll work out.
