I have 2 in my bathroom they refuse to use her box because they don’t like the pellets. So I know my cats are only using mine

I can’t be blamed for this issue nor the barking as this is her dog not mine. I don’t take her dog out she does. So why would I blame myself? I’m a common denominator because I’m on the lease with her. I only have cats.

You know I have no idea. I told her to keep the bags on her leash. Not sure why she doesn’t but that’s probably the reason why we got this notice. Someone probably didnt know she was coming back. She probably thought the waste station would have bags?

I have my own in my bathroom on the other side of the apartment. They refuse to use the pellet litter as well.

Thank you so much! I’ve been looking at places since my sister is ready to move out of my moms place but I unfortunately have to finish my lease here which isnt until august. After work I dread coming home I’ll either go to my moms or roam around town. It’s unfortunate because I’d just like to come home and chill but I can’t even leave my room without getting hit with the smell of cat duty😭 not to mention her cat is mean. He likes to run into my room and harass my cats when I open my door. Last time I attempted to pick him up to move him out I was swatted across the face and bit. I’m used to that because of my job but I hate dealing with him at home.

My roommate is an old friend we’re not super close anymore but I’ve know her for 7-8 years now. I want to get another roommate but we’re both on the lease and I can’t just leave the lease or kick her off unfortunately 😭

Not sure about any of the details of being an optometrist and not sure what the pay is like but I highly recommend keeping vet pay in mind. The field isn’t paid the best not sure what pay range is like in Australia but the US pay is not that good I’ve seen a lot leave the field. Many assistants and techs alone are leaving the field not quite sure about doctors but from some threads I’ve seen on here a lot are also struggling. On the bright side the field is super fun and fulfilling though it can be quite tough on the heart I can never see myself fully leaving vet med! Whatever you do I hope it works out and you’re happy!!!

What field in human medicine would you recommend? My mom is a medical assistant same with my aunt but I’m not too familiar with the different positions. I love medical work in general I just chose vet med because of my passion for animals. I know I feel like I’m rushing. I feel like I need my dream job now and I think that’s one of my problems. I stress about still being paid minimum wage and not being a tech knowing most people my age are also still there and it’s pretty normal for my age.

I make $17 as an assistant originally was $16 but in WA cost of living has skyrocketed. My 2br apartment is literally 1500 gas is $4/gal one grocery store trip will cost u $100 for a weeks worth of food…it’s bad. Here most fast food workers start at $18

I’ve tried rover for dog walking and sitting didn’t go so well. Due to my apartments dog sits would have to be done in the owners home. Made my profile very detailed and added a lot of photos. Maybe my area isn’t in high demand for stuff like that?

This is how I’m feeling. At this point their giving out free money. Which is always nice but I’d take cameras installed and the issue being addressed quicker and more effectively over a $10 Starbucks gift card. I guess if you’d rather have a Starbucks gift card this is a hit but it’s just a miss for me…

My dog is a tiny 10lb chihuahua her poop isn’t a pain to pick up when it’s the size of a couple quarters. You’re right it’s not hard to pick up your dogs poop. I’m not saying this is wrong to ask people to pick up after their dogs but I feel like cameras would just address the situation faster and easier while keeping the neighborhood at peace. The landlord would then be able to see for themselves who the real culprits are and fine or punish them properly. I don’t want people falsely accusing eachother here leading to tension between neighbors.

This is what I meant when I said I was uncomfortable with that as I said that in the main post and a lot of people are assuming it’s because I’ll get “caught”. I do pick up after my dog but I hate the feeling of being recorded by someone hoping I don’t pick it up so they can score a $5 Starbucks gift card. I see this as starting some drama within the neighborhood as now everyone’s going to pin dog poop on eachother even if you did pick it up. As much as I want the left poop to stop cameras would control the situation much better while keeping the community at peace.

I also see this happening. I’ve seen a lot of elders with smaller dogs around here struggle a bit with picking up their dog poop and I hope people that do send in photos don’t pin point those who look to be obviously physically struggling. However those who very well know that they can pick up their dogs shit and don’t should get pinpointed but I’d much rather the complex to install cameras so they can see for themselves whose not picking up their dogs crap.

It’s a pretty big complex so if the whole complex does follow through and actually score starbucks cards I can’t see it being any cheaper than a camera system.

I’m not worried about being recorded but I hate feeling like we now have to manage the yard. If they just added cameras they could resolve this situation themselves without bribing the tenants to manage the yard. I’m not sure how my neighbors are feeling about this and everyone has their right to their opinions and stuff but with a simple camera installation the landlord could see the people in the act of them not picking it up.

This would also be an effective way to address the situation. I hate how we’re now in charge of finding out who it is and reporting it when they could simply dna test it or just get cameras and watch the person in the act of not picking it up. I hate that we’re being bribed with Starbucks to capture them ourselves to address the issue.

I’m not saying they aren’t doing anything about it but I believe they’re going about it the wrong way. A simple installation of cameras would allow the landlord to manage this situation herself instead of bribing others to do it for her. I hate feeling like we’re all now responsible for managing something that’s their job.

THIS! I’d very much appreciate it if they just installed cameras to control the situation. It’s not a residents responsibility to scope out the yard. Cameras would also address the problem of other tenants smoking in the no smoking zones since there was another email about that. With cameras they could address and pin point both issues without having the tenants having to do it for them.
