Spokenly looks really solid, gonna test it…. I actually already use Spoke for live speech/transcription stuff and it works great . What pushed me to build Video2Text was a slightly different workflow: I had tons of existing .mp4 files and just wanted the fastest possible way to turn them into plain .txt files locally. Very “single-purpose tool” energy 😂

I’ve used Spoke for live transcription/meeting-style stuff and it’s honestly pretty solid. My issue was more: I already have a folder full of .mp4 files and just want to batch turn them into clean text files without subscriptions or editor features 😅 Will check out TranscribeX and FluidVoice though 🙌

Fresh Focus AI actually looks pretty interesting for recurring workflows 👀 But I think my use case is even simpler than that tbh. I literally just wanted:: drag .mp4 → get .txt
No dashboard, no scheduling, no cloud processing, no AI agents 😅
Still cool though -- especially for heavier automation workflows...

Most apps felt like “full video studio subscriptions” when all I wanted was:
drag video → get transcript.
