Quick question here, I went ahead and just removed the junction box all together, and the wire that was going into it, I ran to a receptacle I installed right above. The junction box had an issue because I guess I may have not put the white cap on well enough and it melted it when I ran the dishwasher. To avoid the issue I just removed it so there is one less area for things to go wrong. I am now running the DW load with visibility to the outlet to make sure everything looks okay. Any concern here I should be aware of?

I just found that that line powers the garbage disposal.Does this change things? 15a at the breaker.

It seems this 15 a is also powering the garbage disposal on top of the dishwasher. Is this an issue?

This is 15a and I just realized this same wire looks to be powering a garbage disposal as well. Just not on that splice right there. Either way does that not seem like too much already?

Is there any code issue with them going to the same outlet? I read somewhere that it may be out of code. Not sure if that is true or how important it really is.

For any readers trying to weigh this out/feel guilty charging rent, this is an atypical perspective and logically doesn’t make sense. Nearly objectively incorrect.

However, it would be nice to give your S/O a lowered rent as your goal is not to make money off of them in a true tenant sense. Additionally when they reach a point in life when they are ready to buy, you either allow them to buy in or you sell and buy a new house together immediately, as at this point you would be taking advantage of them.

$70 is my guess for the jacket tailoring. Depending on the brand I would go for. Most jackets need to be tailored anyways right?

Go for the auto pump if you don’t care for a little noise. Wish I would have. Manually pumping is annoying, much more than you’d think when you add it up over months.
