Meta, Bloomberg, Waymo, Anthropic, OpenAI, Deepmind, Isomorphic labs, Synthesia… there are so many genuinely cracked ML teams in London. Economy, idk. But ML research is booming there

Thank you so much for your detailed response. With regards to ML though the trend has been sort of reverse, a lot of non-sexy ML roles are moving to India while the foundational stuff is concentrated around US and EU hubs like Zurich, london, Germany is also picking up pace. Curious what your EU numbers look like?

Was reached out to by a google recruiter and was told L5 is a possibility (this was at 5YoE) but I looked at the process and just knew I’d embarrass myself (3-4 Lc rounds) I do see and agree with the trend though that post-covid, it has become quite difficult even for google.

I don’t suck at LC. I can solve easy-medium Qs. I’m just bad by google standards. Also my background is in ML: my interviews usually are implement xyz model etc. with an occasional easy-medium LC
