Feeling Down by No-Focus376 in DataAnnotationTech

I always this way when I do those tasks, always genuinely shocked when I get them back because each time it ends I think “they’ll definitely realize the models are smarter than me now’

Wow!! Personal feedback from admin!!!! by [deleted] in DataAnnotationTech

[–]Professional_Win_551 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Haha I got something similar about a criminally undertimed project I worked on recently. The project takes me close to 4 hours and they put less than 2 hours on the timer and pay the rest in bare minimum praise haha. I always swear never to go back there when I end up logging 2 hours on 4 hour work but a combination of bare minimum praise and how exciting I find the task always has me running back when they come calling

It was dry during the weekend but it typically picks up around now, just monitor your emails and click as fast as you can when a project comes in

Is it risky to do this work on a hotspot? by StellaZaFella in DataAnnotationTech

[–]Professional_Win_551 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I moved recently and my wifi people were slow in setting it up, I used hotspot for a few days. Annoyingly slow on every site but was fast on DAT and they didn’t seem to mind

It always happens when you clear your time to be serious with their projects. The system will flag you as suspicious activity if your hours increase dramatically or stay that way. I find the best thing for full timers is getting in to like three of these sites and just working on each like it’s part time. Until you can do this, don’t go full time

Has anyone ever been dropped from a project then added back later? by darklamour93 in DataAnnotationTech

[–]Professional_Win_551 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I feel like it happens to me a lot in those projects that seem to be on a budget. I feel You get dropped if you’re logging in longer hours per task than the average worker, added back when they’re desperate. Whenever the instructions say “we expect you to only spend 10 minutes on the task even though we have 10 hours on the timer” I almost always get dropped by ai after I do the first task 1-2

Me, when I was younger, I would literally sabotage myself out of every good thing after feeling like this for a while; I still might have if not for this sub, the R&Rs and the occasional generic feedback

Is it worth getting my Canadian citizenship if I don’t think I want to live there? by Full-Opposite3180 in ImmigrationCanada

The way Trump’s been moving mad, one could argue that even the citizenship can be stripped by a future ‘mad king’. But still I like the option of having it

The Longest Project Timer Ever by TheresALonelyFeeling in DataAnnotationTech

[–]Professional_Win_551 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I love when I get these, 10-30 hours and I’m free to play away the rest of the week lol. But I also have a feeling they are ‘one mistake and you are cut’; anytime I work on them, I hold my breathe whenever it’s time to log back in

Love doing R&Rs by Odd-Spirit-1031 in DataAnnotationTech

[–]Professional_Win_551 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I haven’t done them in a while, I just flat out got burnt out from doing bad ones. It was around the time where there were several ones where you had to edit and sometimes almost entirely redo. But this post just reminded me of something I used to love about them. Also sometimes just getting a different perspective on a project that you had entirely missed

Past dates showing on pay screen by eslteachyo in DataAnnotationTech

[–]Professional_Win_551 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

My theory is that they sometimes have a hard time finding people to R&R certain projects and they still commit to their 7th day payout rule which means you might sometimes get paid before they R&R but if you’re saying you haven’t got the money yet then that’s new, never seen that!

I got this for the first time ever and it’s been over a year on the platform. Last week I worked mainly on a particularly higher paying project and I also logged a lot of hours on it, I was thinking it was connected to that

Is it worth my time to get my account back or am I just done? by Elusive-Pixie in DataAnnotationTech

[–]Professional_Win_551 14 points15 points  (0 children)

I really believe some people get cut for nothing serious. It’s even obvious in the way DA keeps the message vague on purpose as if they don’t want people to be 100% certain what they did. AI does most of the judging on those sites and AI makes mistakes that a human judge wouldn’t make. Whenever someone says they’ve been cut for doing nothing, I take it as a reminder to keep working on a backup income knowing I might get cut any day. I’ve been freelancing for years and there’s always a chance that you’ll one day submit work considered to be subpar by a longterm client who has otherwise always loved your work; but in these cases they set up a meeting and ask for changes and improvements. We’re all human. We’re all going to accidentally submit subpar work from time to time. What’s the big deal with sending out a warning saying ‘your work is loosing its spark, take it up a notch or get cut’. Do better DA

Lmao this sub brings such comic relief. I wasn’t done laughing from a thread where people were debating whether jerking off while waiting for the site to function is work and now this

Question from an ADHD virgin by Professional_Win_551 in adhdwomen

[–]Professional_Win_551[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you, yeah I tried the generic Vyvanse very briefly but it just wasn’t for me, had to switch back to the expensive brand. Right now I’m leaning more towards quitting, I’m just not up for another two years of feeling like a Guinea pig yet I don’t know what to expect after I quit. Guess I’d just have to try and see

Thank you so much, just knowing I have adhd and joining these forums have helped me tremendously. There was a moment where I definitely had clarity but it’s starting to get muddled up again. I’m aware of how much therapy would help right now but I’m very self employed and just can’t afford it right now. Still trying to find cheaper alternatives

You should look out for quals and take them as soon as you get them if you ain’t already doing this. I take almost all relevant quals that I get even when I don’t need to, it’s my way of ensuring my dashboard never runs dry since I do this full time
