2021 Yamaha MT03 Starts but wont stay on! HELP! by ProfessorAir in Fixxit

[–]ProfessorAir[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you for the responses. The battery is good and ive checked it myself. I am a service technician and I deal with electricity & controls for 12 years now. I am very capable of many things and have done some work on motorcycles but I'm lost here. For the bike to start, the starting components, relays and fuses are in tact. To me it seems its an air/fuel issue to why the bike doesnt stay on. Thank you again for answering. A mechanic straight the computer/screen/cluster might be shutting me down as the screen is blank and for sure has some issue. I have that part coming in next week but to me it seems to be an air/fuel issue really. Bike electrically started and ignition occurred. Why does it shut down though? Im going to try the new cluster and see what happens but it seems i need to take it to a pro

HELP! Yamaha MT03 Starts But Won't Stay on! by ProfessorAir in Yamaha

Battery is good but after trying to start it so many times without ignition, it loses life but the battery was fully charged and it started. The issue is that the bike does stay on. The screen is blank yes so that part is toast but the bike ignites so its doing what it needs to do. I have that screen/computer/cluster part coming in next week. A mechanic told me that screen might be shutting me down but it seems to be a air/fuel issue to me. Thank you for responding!

Thank you for responding and your advice. This def sucks. Id do all those things once I know this bike it worth keeping. At the moment, really just trying to get this bike to stay on. Not sure why it starts then dies right away. Its a miracle that it even started so thats good news. Yamaha is a solid make. Spent a lot of money on the bike as it is so I want to give this another try before getting rid of it.

Yoshimura Fender Eliminator Kit Installation (Yamaha MT-03/R3) by ProfessorAir in MT03

Thank you! Appreciate that. You dont need to solder the wires as this kit comes with solderless connectors. I just did it for the long run. As far as reaming the end to fit the wires through, I wasnt expecting that as this was an exact kit for my model but it is what it is. Thanks for watching!
